Old man Iguodala also just held Kawhi to 33% shooting in the Finals when he was guarding him, so I'm not about to act like it's a wrap and they're champs. I said it when it happened..Toronto caught every break they needed to win it all. From Embiid getting sick and that ridiculous bounce in Game 7, to Milwaukee choking away a 2-0 lead in the series, to GSW's rash of injuries. He's the board man, but he's been lucky too

That's what I mean. The Clips are gonna Clip.

They had a loaded team in Jordan, CP3, and Griffen, and they couldn't get it done....then basically lied their asses off to Griffen.

KL may think this is another Raptors miracle offering, but that is why they call these things miracles.

KD rips his Achilles, Klay rips up his knees, and they still only win by four. Now he's throwing his reputation with PG13?

    Dude needs a reality check.

Clips probably didn't even have to answer for their lie to Blake Griffin because nobody cares..they're the Clippers and just nobody cares.

But if the Lakers had lied to Griffin..front page news, debated on every show for a week.

Clips have some heart and hustle behind their stars, but that's easy shit to attain. Way easier than landing the elite stars. Lakers still have about $12M in cap space..which they don't have to use at all to sign an Avery Bradley who's been a hustle/heart guy his whole career. They may be bringing in Marcus Morris as well to bang around and be their tough guy. Pretty easy to build around this core. Like Bradley, Korver can only get the vet min. We'll see if Iguodala gets waived and hits the open market..if he does, he can only get the vet minimum as well. Cousins still out there..he was also waiting on the Kawhi's decision..might be a Laker with AD's blessing, TBH.

Will be interesting to see what Pelinka had laid out in the event that Kawhi didn't land. I mean, beyond Danny Green..which was an excellent get. Probably more LeBron's doing than anything since he and Green go way back.

I don't mind KCP being back at all. Youth, hustle and versatility. Streaky shooting, but he's a better player than Norman Powell who's making $10M+ on average for Toronto

We really need PGs and SGs that can shoot and defend.

That is what concerns me without a KL being an attention getter

Yup. Doesn't even have to be a true PG. Because at the end of the day, LeBron is going to be point-forward and AD can create his own offense. Just guards that can defend and hit shots..preferably guards with experience.

I suspect Iman Shumpert will get a look..won the title with LeBron in Cleveland, still under 30yrs old somehow and very experienced..tough. If the Clips want to play the tough game with Beverley..Shumpert is another Chicago guy that doesn't fuck around

So long as Javale is coming off the bench and only getting 15 minutes or so every night, OK with that. Would've rather had Nerlens Noel, TBH. But Javale does have more experience than Noel

What hasn't been said yet, I feel like this is a pretty weak/trash move on PG's part.

Pretty sure it was just last year he was on stage with Russ, talking about how excited he was to be back and how OKC treated him so well.

I'm obviously not going to knock him for wanting to join the Clippers with Kawhi, but not by being persuaded by Kawhi and forcing the hand of the franchise you just resigned with.

And Sam Presti is a dick and a half, reaches out and helps his fellow Spurs' guy Doc Rivers. Looks like Presti doesn't know which way is up. Question is..now, who wants Russ? Nobody. OKC has been spinning their wheels since making the Finals in 2012 and just basically in the Lakers' way for no good reason.

Glad the Clips had to give up Gilgeous-Alexander and Gallinari. Happy to see SGA leave, for sure.

Jalen Rose with his " 99% Raptors " BS
At least ESPN can stop forcing him to play Woj

Yeah, half assed all the way around. I get Presti trying to move quickly and maximize his return but it's just not a good look.

With Russ, I think he and OKC are stuck with each other...at least for this year. Even if OKC looks to move Russ, I don't know that they can until later into the season since so many guys just signed free agent contracts. I'm not sure exactly, but I believe free agent contracts can't be moved until late December?

At this point, I'm not even sure if guys like Presti care. They have these types of connections/deals and halfway decent resumes, so they'll just link up and get another job after making 4 lefts and ending up back where they were. Anytime anybody mentions Presti it's to slob over his past work.

Yeah, it'll be December/January before any of these guys can be moved. They'd better hope Russ plays ball and doesn't demand a trade. It's already going to be extremely tough to trade him without the cloud of a disgruntled star

Kawhi Leonard and his camp found it comical throughout the process that he was “reportedly” headed to every team but the Clippers. In the end, his small circle kept everyone guessing. And that’s what occurred: guessing.

RIP to that reddit douchebag. What a clown.

And unfortunately as Laker fans we'll have the demon seed of Doc Buss running our favorite team for far too long.

Rich Paul is a demon seed of Dr. Buss? I knew he liked black women.

Free agent guard Quinn Cook has reached an agreement with the Los Angeles Lakers on a two-year, $6 million deal, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

    Nice signing.

Yeah. So long as Jeanie and Linda stay outta the way..as in not entertaining the dumb trade ideas of stars in their spin classes..and they let Rich Paul use his influence, we're good for the next 10 years with AD on board.

After that, we're Mr. Magoo again. Hoping to stumble into the next star who has enough nuts to try and carry the Lakers forward.
