    The Mavs have to absolutely hate Luka Doncic
    It is the only thing that makes sense
    I really hope we see a LeBron trade coming soon to bring in a new, fresh Lakers era
    Bronny can stay, LeBron gotta go

    Mavs were concerned with Luka's dedication (or lack thereof) to conditioning. Lakers just added a horrible defensive player to a horrible defensive team. They also traded two of their best defensive players in Christie and Davis.

    Bottom line.......they're still fucked. Thanks again Doc Buss for leaving your legacy to Jeannie.

    they are fucked in the short term but it looks like they are finally smelling the stench of the mebron era and moving on
    imagine all that talent they traded away to appease that megalomaniac and what a team it could have been
    apparently the Mavs approached them so at least they listened and did the deal
    feels like the game itself is about to self correct away from hero ball...yeah probably not but AD was not the cancer

    we got Luka
    it dont matter who we gave up
    LeBron at PF is not a bad option if we get a Walker Kessler type
    Then Rui can take over for LeBron when he is moved.

    I really like Davis when hes playing... but then hes not always playing
    we could just stick some random bigs at center and they will get free buckets from luka, lebron, and austin

    Folks are bugging, getting Luka was a steal and a half, who cares if he dont play D or any other reasons.
    JJ Reddit isnt going to be a defensive wizard of a coach anyway, might as well lean into what he likes.
    Shooting and scoring and getting easy fast break buckets.
    Showtime!
    Dallas obviously going to try and win now mode. They should get LeBron too and we get their young players.
    Lakers got their superstar for the next 10 -15 years
    Butts in the seats is what they want.
    Now they have a real star to market and not a fading one to prop up

    about to turn 26 years old
    Sure if they win a championship in the next couple of years it will have worked out
    but I doubt that happens
    then they will have nothing for a generational player
    Lakers got a steal with this deal
    Yes they are going to be trash this year but this is about the future without LeBron
    Lakers got a STUD, whether he's 240 lbs or 270 lbs, for the next 10 to 15 years
    And Luka no longer capable of receiving the supermax of 5/345
    What an insane trade

    Spurs pairing Wemby with Fox should be nasty

    Poor AD he gonna be remembered like Vlade Divac one of my all time favorite players.
    Vlade was the solid big man for us before we got Shaq.
    Vlade got us Kobe though.
    Luka in LA will get the Kobe treatment.

    Pelinka was given the GM of the year award by Dallas.
    AD asked for a Center and Pelinka sent him to American Airlines Center

    best players in the league with some named Gobert and west brick have gotten them
    any team that wants to keep its stars is going to have to pony up
    I know its a lot of cash but as an international star the numbers must be there
    still think there's more to it then cuban and co are saying but hey their loss

    My attitude towards the NBA and Lakers is about the same as F!inski's. I won't rehash the myriad of reasons why as I've covered them all before. I have no concept of the value of this trade, so I'll take all you all's word on it that it's good for the Lakers. Once James is off the team, my interest level relative to its peak during the Showtime and Kobe/Shaq years may go from 0% to 20-30%. Who knows, maybe that will be the base and it'll climb from there, or maybe it will just languish at that level. I do go to a couple Kings games every year when a buddy with floor seats invites me. Watching the game from the first row with no emotional attachment is okay, but the free gourmet meal and top shelf liquor in the elite lounge that his seats scores us makes it a great night. So for now, I'll just say, good for the Lakers.

    i guess its similar to when your football team moves to a different city and there is a period where you get all emo about it

    i remember when the raiders went back to oakland
    i was like arghh raiders i dont care about you anymore
    but i still cared for a few years about what was going on with the raiders
    by the time they were moving to vegas i didnt give two shits anymore
    and i have no clue who their QB is who their coach is or if a member of the Davis family is still running the org
    its never gonna be like when it was 'commitment to excellence' and 'just win baby'
    and im not watching the fucking rams

    its not just mebron its the game itself
    its dull, predictable and boring since strategy got sacked for long chucking
    nba has always gone through evolutions of changed I'm hoping for that as much as the local guys getting better
    its been more like your best friend starts going out w a tranny
    its nearly unwatchable
    but anything is better than having that fake leader racist and his spawn leeching 50mil a year, well 58 or so w the spawns salary
