Hyun-Jin Ryu Noodles Commercial With Kershaw Lookalike by Matthew Moreno | Dodgers Nation -- October 13, 2014 Prior to signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers and making a name for himself in Major League Baseball, Hyun-Jin Ryu was a successful pitcher and celebrity in South Korea. Since arriving in the U.S., Ryu has remained connected to his native country, evident by his efforts in donating to the victim’s families from the SEWOL ferry disaster. Adding to his reputation as a good samaritan, Ryu has previously recorded pop songs to raise money for a performing arts center. While Ryu’s latest work off the field isn’t exactly in those same footsteps, he again showed his talent extends beyond throwing pitches. In a Korean commercial selling noodles, Ryu is pictured enjoying a serving in what appears to be a mockup of the Dodgers’ dugout. He’s flanked by a teammate wearing a No. 17 jersey (A.J. Ellis on the Dodgers) and another player who resembles Clayton Kershaw.
