I don't think he was because he came up hacking in the next AB. Would have been nice to grab the lead in the 9th, but Dre let it go into extras. But we won when it could have easily been a loss, so it's hard to complain.

 

I almost think they should temporarily send out Withrow (he needs 3+ days off now, having made 59 pitches last night) and bring up the starter for tonight from ABQ, Angel Castro, so that if Crapuano gets rocked and only goes 2 1/3, they have have somebody who can give them 4-5 innings instead of burning up the bullpen 2 nights in a row.

 

Castro's not on the 40 man, so they can't do that. They'll probably bring up Guerra and send down Withrow for the weekend.

You're probably right, I thought for some reason he pitched yesterday. But I looked it up, and he didn't and only threw 1 inning on the 9th, so maybe he'll be the sacrificial lamb like Josh Wall was a month or so ago.

 

He's also chocking when it counts too often.

it turns out the Luis Gonzalez story was bogus. David Vassgay was right there. Puig did not ignore or disrespect Gonzalez. McGwire, who was right in the middle of it, could not believe what was written.
