My chance encounter with Steve Lyons

I saw him walking up from the field at the USC/ucla game saturday. I was only to get in 2 questions but thought I'd share anyway.

Me: Are we really almost done with mccourt or is he fucking with us?
SL: No he's done just a matter of time
Me: Will we sign any real free agents this year?
SL: We signed fucking Mark Ellis what more do you want?

And just like that he ran off and I never saw him come back down.

Mark Ellis is twice the player Steve Lyons ever was lol, I don't know if a player with a career .300 OBP is in a position to be mocking other players

 

I'm a Lyons fan. I'll never forget that hilarious comment he made about that blind guy during the Dodgers-Mets NLDS.

 

I've always liked psycho and his stock went up a tick for saying "We".

 

I too have always loved Lyons.

idk where it came from. he's from oregon, says he was a red sox fan, never played in the dodgers org at all, but he goes to games he's not working on tv. i remember when we went to boston he said "i'll be in the stands wearing my Kershaw jersey". i thought that was awesome

i guess it's no big deal. announcers bounce from team to team all the time, but it's still rare to see color announcers with no prior ties to the team they cover

 

Some even say he's better looking than Matt Holiday...can this be?
