    David Vassegh@THEREAL_DV
Gavin Lux said Alex Vesia gave him a wink after he got him to fly out. Lux said it was "surreal" to see all the guys he won a World Series with in the other dugout today.

Tough for Lux. He's a good player who had a bad luck injury at a pivotal point in his career.

I realize it's second stringers and minor leaguers playing against other second stringers and minor leaguers, but ours suck.
And Glasnow, Chris Taylor, Blake Treinen, Tanner Scott, etc. who are not, suck too, so far.
I see nothing that impressive from any " invitees" or prospects except from the ones mentioned.
The pitching blows, and the stolen bases against us is really a pain in the ass to watch the ineptness. Not even close. A cake walk for the opposition.
    Thank you.

    bitter and delusional much?

The pitcher on the wrong end of the first walk-off grand slam in World Series history (by Freddie Freeman), Nestor Cortes, still seems to rightfully carry some resentment from that infamously unfortunate moment of his career.

“We had done enough to win that game,” Cortes said. “They can talk whatever they want to talk, but we win Game 1 — which we should have — we lost 2 and 3, we win Game 4 and we should have won Game 5. Then we go back to L.A. up 3 to 2. So people can say it slipped away from us, people can say we made a lot of mistakes, which we did. But at the end of the day, we were the better team. I see it that way, and I’m sure everybody in that clubhouse sees it that way. The reality (could have been) going back to LA leading 3-2. It didn’t happen that way and they deserve all the credit in the world, they won the World Series. At the moment, they showed they were the better team.”

Guess I'm prejudiced for him, but imo, Pages makes Outman look like Jim Edmonds out there.

"But at the end of the day, we were the better team."

Uh, no. You can make all the excuses you want, but they will not make this statement true.

Yeah, I do realize that after watching bb for 65 years or so. And so does every other team's pitching...so I guess the Dodger ones are worse then.
It would be nice to be entertained just a little though...sorry...I demand it...but watching 5 walks, multiple errors, hbp, rampant stolen bases by the opposition at will, and runs scoring left and right gets old pretty fast. The base stealing thing is a bit alarming...no one is trying anything out. They are trying to nail them out stealing. And they're not even in the vicinity.
At least we beat the Padres though. And Mookie looks ready. And Vesia.

his whole flawed theory is based on ifs, should haves and — my personal favorite — “the reality…”
i figured out a long time ago that any time someone starts a statement with “the reality” or, more commonly, “the reality is” means they don’t have anything to support their argument and are actually condescending vacuous idiots
cortez lends credence to this point

    ok cool just checking
keep trying to watch some of it but its always 230 when I think about it and just read a box score
however I did see enough of one game to see Hope excel in the field and a blip where Hoese cleared the bases
not a lot of drama to be had but nice to know Mookie looks good
