So Correa surely takes them out of the bidding for Ohtani next year, right? RIGHT?

    Doubt it,

I'm as frustrated as the next guy about this off-season, but lets not forget this team has been in the top 5 (mostly 1/2) over the last 10 years in terms of payroll and still will be up there this year when it's all said and done.

Ohtani in urine yellow and feces brown next year, bro...
and regarding salary...if you lead bb in attendance, you should have the top salary or near it...that's how you get those attendance numbers. It's a nice symbiosis...and profit.
Where we fall miserably down is in the super key spots of leadership and are waaay to confident to the point of " the embarrassment of riches" albatross which has been around our neck for that same period. Firmly around it.
The FO is slick and clever, but each passing year, diminishes in it's stature, imo.. Other teams, and some direct competition, have bitch smacked us to what may be a little brother role for a while. We'll be good, but we won't be the best. The profits will be there a- plenty still...no doubt. But as a life long fan, what do I give a fuck how rich Guggenheim's grandkids are ?
I want to see a WS winner to justify the spent $ and my annual/7 decades loyalty.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but the " Blue Wave" is looking more like the Red one that never came to fruition a month ago.

"Odds on the Mets to win the World Series improved from +900 to +750 by Wednesday morning, per Caesars Sportsbook. That is the third-best odds behind the Houston Astros (+400) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (+600)."

600??? Really? What am I missing here, because this team got weaker while the competition got stronger? Plus there's still the issue of manager.

I’d easily have the Astros, Mets, Yankees, padres, and possibly Braves ahead of the dodgers at the moment. That

Correa can fuck off. Frisco is always welcome to fuck themselves (which they enjoy) and the Mets WILL NOT WIN A WORLD SERIES this decade.

    I hath spoken.

Anyway, bitches ... Polar vortex headed Kentucky way. I've got three handles of bonded bourbon, forty pounds of frozen beef, pork, and chicken on ice, and ten gallons of gas for the generator in case we lose power. We got candles, books, DVDs, and plenty of ammo.

See y'all next year sometime. I'm on a break.

Fuck the Giants ... And God bless you guys. Even when things are shitty in the USA & in Blue Heaven, I respect this room & the posters in it, even the ones who think I'm a dick.

Sometimes I am, and so are you.

    Merry Christmas, boyos.

    yeast infection?

Statement from Giants president of baseball ops Farhan Zaidi: “While we are prohibited from disclosing confidential medical information, as Scott Boras stated publicly, there was a difference of opinion over the results of Carlos’ physical examination. We wish Carlos the best.”

So we're expected to cut Bauer and the rangers are favored to sign him?
    Why would we do that?
Aren't we going to be on the hook for the money?

What a nightmare of an offseason for Giants fans:
    1. Thought they signed "Arson" Judge for 7 minutes.
    2. Thought they signed Carlos Correa for 7 days.
    3. Did nothing to replace Carlos Rodon.
    4. Signed Sean Manaea.
    Absolutely Brutal.

Normally I'd be reveling in joy right beside you, but given the offseason we've had, I just can't. Plus, they don't have Roberts as manager.

Mike Moustakas just got cut by the Reds today.

Not even close to being an impact bat, but that has the standard Dodgers low risk/high reward league minimum signing written all over it.
