League out? yea, just washing their hands of ALL of Ned's rubbish.

Kenley, Hatcher, Peralta, Howell, Nicasio....

and then probably a competition between Liberatore/Paco/Coulombe for the other lefty spot..and a competition between Baez/Frias/Yimi for the left over righty spot..as it stands currently anyway.

 

I was just thinking about this, if they go full on platoons, with Uribe, Kendrick, Puig, J-Roll and A-Gon playing virtually everyday, it would look something like this.

Vs LHP / Vs RHP
C- Ellis / Grandal
1B- Gonzalez / Gonzalez
2B- Kendrick / Kendrick
SS- J-Roll / J-Roll
3B- Uribe / Uribe
LF- SVS / Crawford
CF- Heisey / Joc
RF- Puig / Puig

 

i would assume all the time and most definitely when they're taking on 70M dollars. the guy had micro-fracture surgery on his ankle.

 

I just get really suspicious if trades take a week to complete. Something is fishy here.

 

Mattingly said yesterday that AGon is gonna get some days off this year against tough lefties and that Grandal would likely take 1B on those days since it'd be SVS's day in LF.

 

well, Kemp barely took the physical today. trade has to be completed by Thursday and it really doesn't make sense to tell the prospects until it's official. they already know anyway..unless they live under a rock. and the Rollins deal can't be completed until the Pads/LAD one is done of course.

Dodger FO doesn't seem to be worried..currently shaking down the pen for Ned's bums and all.

 

If they are at the point of a physical, one would think the prospects need to take physicals too, so it would make sense to tell them.

 

one would think that. but again, Thursday is the deadline, so they have tomorrow and all day Thursday.

Mariners should just sign Aoki and be done with it. Jackson-Aoki-Cano-Cruz-Seager-Zunino-LoMo-Ackley-Taylor/Miller is pretty damn good.

Rumors of a failed physical blowing up the Kemp deal to the Padres are starting to get louder.

This is not good. Plus with them on the verge of trading for Myers, something is not adding up.

 

Padres were working to get a trade for Upton done before Kemp had his physical, so i don't think adding Myers means they're passing on Kemp.

but even if they blow up the trade, they're still gonna work with Philly to get Rollins. it'll suck though because they'll be losing Grandal.

 

I don't want Kemp to go, but him failing his physical is absolute WORST case scenario here. It'd probably eliminate all potential trade value and interest anyone had in him and we'd be stuck with a player that we traded who would probably become a bigger pain in the ass.

 

Dodgers just go looking for a team that'll clear Kemp if the Padres pass.

but at least fans can finally come to grips with the reason(s) for the Dodgers lack of a king's ransom-like return for Kemp instead of just acting like Kemp is Superman. Kemp has a lot of warts.

 

I'd love for the kemp trade to fall through.

Just cuz it'd be funny.

DECEMBER 17: We are still awaiting word on whether the deal has been completed, but Bob Nightengale of USA Today hears (Twitter link) that the Padres believe his physical is fine and are awaiting final details.
