Management should have mandated it. Amazing to me how little management seems to get involved. I realize a lot of it is of course on the player, but how can guys like Seager and Bellinger have the same swing holes year after year and not address them?

I agree with you on Kapler. But Roberts wasn't exactly seasoned either. Coaching 1st base coach for the Padres is akin to MiLB.

He's not the same pitcher he once was, but you could make an argument he's still better than Kershaw. But no, I don't think our focus should be on back end starters. Cole and Strasberg should be priority 1 and 1A, but knowing how cheap our owners are I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make an offer to either. Same with Rendon. Doolittle would be a great pen addition, but I seriously doubt the Nats let him walk.

The greater the player, the less likely the Dodgers sign them.

When predicting who we sign, look for someone who is both injury prone AND mediocre.

I "accidentally" stopped by the LATimes sports page today. It was a hard copy in the teacher's lounge. Guess what was in plain sight? A Plaschke article . . . good thing I hadn't eaten yet. He writes that Roberts deserved the boos, but deserves to keep his job anyway. That was the first paragraph ... that was as far as I got before my gorge started to rise. SoI I took it into the bathroom, put it in the toilet, and pissed on it.

Now the algebra 1 teacher wants to know where the paper is ... I ain't saying nothing.

You should tell him it's where it and Dave belong.

True. But IMO even managing the Padres is a far cry from managing the Dodgers. As inexperienced as Kapler was he could have probably gotten similar results as Roberts the past three seasons. Then again, I'm still upset so maybe I'm not thinking that clearly.

    hear what you're saying
and i despise roberts as much as anyone
but kapler is a ckunt who was reportedly not well received by players when he was here
also, as bad as dave's botox is at least he's not oiling himself up like an ass vandal
maybe kapler would be a better fit [homo] with the giants

    Funny you mention that.

I heard a Gay Area pundit that mentioned that with his relationship with Farhan (mostly likely homo), he was possibility for the job.

Which reminds me of a joke...

Q: What do you call two gay guys from Ireland?

A: Gerald Fitzpatrick and Patrick Fitzgerald...
