If this happens the Dodgers, Twins and the players union should file a grievance for leaking the medicals and subsequently shopped the price in a public manor. Leaking medicals allows the players unions to file. If it's uncovered that ownership essentially nixed the deal the the Dodgers and Twins can go after the Red Sox for circumventing the rules and not operating in good faith. I'd also sue the RedSox for knowingly having AIDS and sleeping with other parties.

 

I've been that way since the Dodgers blew game 4 in the World Series in 2018 to the Red Sox...

Red Sox reporter saying that the Sox seem determined to get a deal done with the Dodgers, though the chances of it actually happening have dropped a bit. There is apparently a scenario where the Sox have floated the Dodgers taking on more money and offering a lesser second prospect.

 

Padres trade Manuel Margot for Emilio Pagan and prospect Logan Driscoll. This is fucking annoying as Pagan is one of the better relievers in baseball.

 

The not annoying part is that Margot was a part of trade talks for Betts and this may be a sign that the Padres do not expect the Sox to re-engage.

One final update from two late night reports:

• The Red Sox are once again said to be prioritizing a deal with the Dodgers.
• In the event that a deal falls, the Padres are seen as the favorites.
• Multiple other teams have also been said to have jumped in since the news that things were getting rocky. Some have said they’d be willing to take on both Betts and Price. This shows that teams don’t care if the Sox fuck over the Dodgers.
• The Sox have supposedly floated a package of the Dodgers taking on more money in the deal or some more money as well as a lesser prospect (guessing this brings the Twins back into the deal).
• A deal by the end of Sunday is seemingly less likely now as things are still said to be progressing slowly.
• The Twins/Dodgers and Red Sox had a 3 team conference call into late this afternoon that is believed to have not gone anywhere.
• Multiple teams have reached out to replace the Twins in a deal.

Heyman reporting that progress is being made in talks of a restructured deal involving the original 3 teams. Sides remain hopeful that a deal will be completed.
