For Boston it was Verdugo and the kid from the Twins and Dodgers it was Betts and Price. For the Twins it was Maeda for their kid.
Boston is balking on what they agreed to and this is all on them. They probably want one of our untouchables and to be able to declare a win in the trade.

Sounds like 2 separate deals with Dodgers getting Graterol.

If Graterol can chuck 100+, might be a replacement for Jansen. MGT have up on the last 100+ pitcher, Montas, and he had a pretty good season last year.

Yeah... until that whole PED thing. Still would do that trade 100 times out of 100. I said this earlier, Graterol has a higher ceiling than anyone in our system outside of May. So if we could find a way to get him in this, I’d be thrilled. Our bullpen could be legit.

Scavenging the prospect lists to learn more about Graterol and my god do the scouting services love him. His injury history is easily his biggest knock, but BP has him as a #2 starter upside if healthy with an 80 grade Sinker and a slider that was ++ as well (that's a 65-80 grade) when he worked out of the pen. Here is a quote about the pitches "It’s one of the best two-pitch combos you will find among prospect arms, and there’s only a handful of major-league arms who can boast something better." They think he could be an elite closer, but suggest him working as a starter this season to see if he can develop his average change a bit as a front of the rotation starter is more valuable.

I am not saying that they will, but if the Dodgers can SOMEHOW pull off get Graterol without losing anyone else from their not untouchable list like Gray, Gonsolin or Downs, this would be another steal scenario for the Dodgers FO. I wonder if this is where they move Ruiz.

I am going to add more on the prospects page.

Jansen & his bitchen shoes won't be happy about Graterol in the pen...

Also, the guy's name sounds like a pharmaceutical... "Side effects of Graterol include troubled breathing or swallowing, raised bumps or hives, vaginal rash or penile discharge, itching or swelling of the anus, lips, tongue, throat or arms, sepsis, death, or another title for the Giants"

Well we got 2 more years of Jansen. Get Graterol and stash him in AAA with a September call up, then let him be the 8th inning guy in 2021, and closer in 2022. Perfect timing IMO

If the plan for the Dodgers is to use him out of the pen, then he is MLB ready. If they want him to still develop as a starter, than he will need to go to AAA.

One other thing, if the Dodgers viewed Graterol as a reliever too, then I have a HARD time seeing them willingly giving up Gray or Gonsolin (or May for that matter), let alone anyone else in their Top 10(as it is pretty loaded). I wonder if we see the club eating a bit more money on their end and parting with a number of lesser prospects. Thinking White, DSantana, Grove, Carrillo, Peters, Amaya and Estevez types. It is interesting how both White and Santana are lite version of Graterol in that out of the pen they have potentially 80-grade pitches (White/Cutter, Santana/Sinker) with 60+ grades on a second pitch(White/FB, Santana/Slider). I know some scouts LOVED where Santana was at out of the pen down the stretch, so the Dodgers could try to swing something where that is their main piece, taking on more money from the Sox and then adding quantity guys that have MLB upside since our system is littered with it compared to a horrible Sox system. I am probably being too optimistic as the Sox probably aren't going to suddenly settle for a package of lesser upside, but my thought process is if the Dodgers were willing to move Gray, Gonsolin or Downs before, they probably would not have made this a 3 team deal.

    @Ken_Rosenthal
In current talks, #MNTwins are working hard to satisfy #Dodgers and the Dodgers are working hard to satisfy #RedSox, sources say. Two separate deals are possible (for example, Graterol-plus for Maeda and Verdugo and others for Betts/Price). But all three teams involved in talks.

Make sure everyone involved is satisfied. The key to a threesome.

They can have Caleb Ferguson as the secondary prospect. Between him and Gatorade it may get it done.
Big beefy pitchers do well in the AL.
Losing Joc sucks. Specially playoff time.
But the nerds were probably not planning on paying him.
    Dumbasses.
An easy cheap replacement is Cameron Maybin who is a good veteran who will understand his role.

LF: Cam/Pollock/Kike/Taylor flavor of the week.
    RF: Betts
    CF: Belli
    1B: Muncy
    3B: Turner
    SS: Seager
    2B: Lux
    C: Smith
    DH: Beaty/Rios
