You mean MLB ready players, right? Because they gave up prospects.
All the speculated pieces in a package for Soto didn't get moved in the Hader deal. They could still make a strong offer to Washington and I have a feeling they will out of fear of the Dodgers further widening the gap if we get Soto. I'll never fear the Padres but Tatis-Soto would be one helluva duo for many years
I didn't mention Vinny because... well. Shit, becauee that's unfair to compare. As BZOO posted, she could develop into Red Barber (ummmmm .... the fuck she will) but yeah, Vin went to Fordham. Kirsten went to Columbia, but I can tell you you the 1940 version of Vin's process was about 50X tougher than Columbia now.
No doubt. Concur.
FWIW - I think Soto will be far more long lasting and successful than Tatis. I really think he's a chuckleheaded dumbass.

Source: #Dodgers are close to acquiring Juan Soto from the #Nationals they are talking intensely. Padres and Cardinals still on the talk.
I'm all over the alphabet today with my typing. I'm spelling like Biden shits ... all over himself.
Time to stop posting from a Samsung. My sausage fingers need a proper keyboard.
so Outpost was being showcased?
If so, it was nice knowing you Dustin May. Please don't win 20 and strike out 300 versus The Bums.
yeah that's a pretty sledgehammer comparison but ii think the far less intelligent player has acclimated to far less intelligent questions
i like watching the players face as the questions are asked
i'll not be a happy man if May went in this deal, thinking more Pepiot
Probably, yeah. He may be a monster as well.
I guess, if you want John Holmes, you've gotta give up Jack Wrangler & Ron Jeremy ...
A Soto trade would involve our top six prospects, per earlier reports. If I understand correctly, that gets us three postseasons with him. After that we'd have to resign him, and we already know the size of extension he rejected from Washington. What's the chance we could do that with massive contracts already to Mookie, FF, and possibly soon Trea (let alone our pitchers)?
So let's assume no - what it then comes down to is this... Is it worth gutting the farm for a greater potential of rings over the next three years? I'm not sure how I feel about that. Certainly, if it resulted in three rings, then sure. But odds are it wouldn't. Maybe we'll win one of three, but as CK says, the roster as-is can accomplish that (provided we fix our closer issue).
You realize, that's a softball lob for @irish.
Yeah...great point statman.
I mean at least you can look at her and wonder what she looks like wearing nothing...better than Rosenthat with his bow tie and shit.
And...don't even have to ask, he's circumcised.
No mystery there.
not to mention if we don't actually intend on backing up the brinks truck and allow him to play like we've done w Trea how's he going to react to that?
certainly don't expect any player to start pouting but it wouldn't be the first time
all i hear is great things about his attitude to this point
know for sure we wont be trading for ayman al zhwahiri
i still don’t want soto for what we’d have to give up
Yeah. Provided that Will Smith stays healthy, I wouldn't mind maximizing trade value on Cartaya in a couple years when he's major league ready, but we're going to need most of the rest of those guys.
I hate that cocksucker.
from what i understand his fb now clocks at 0 mph
