Judge and Correa, get it done.

Not likely for Judge though, feel like the Yankees fanbase would never forgive ownership for that. If you're the Yankees, you hand him a blank contract and ask him to fill it out.

Boras is such a filthy whore (and not in a good way)I just know that he wants out of his deal with Belli. He can't make as much off the guy as he'd like so now he's got to WalMart the guy.

Boras .... he's slime. Belli isn't who he used to be, but I don't hate him. But Boras .... He's pure Dante's Inferno material.

Don't get me wrong, I dislike Boras as much as the next guy. The 1 year play is kind of the only option here for Belli, IMO. Nobody (I think) is giving him multiple years worth anything significant... maybe something incentive heavy - but that shouldn't be super sexy for a guy like Belli who hasn't done shit offensively the last 2+ years.

Best bet is to go year to year, hope he figures it out and then sign a decent multi year deal.

For what it's worth, the agent works for the player. If Belli wanted a longer contract, he'd probably ask Boras to get it done.

MLB radio guys were discussing Colorado, White Sox or Toronto as possible destinations.

Toronto and Colorado would be nice fits for Belli. Needs a stadium where the balls tend to fly (tee'd you up Irish).

    Of course you're absolutely correct.

I have a personal issue with Boras. When I taught at Servite High in Anaheim, Boras sent his boy to JSerra in San Juan Capistrano. He bullied the entire baseball community in that league. He talked endless shit and overwhelmed parents into doing his bidding like some Voldemort power monger. Total bullshit. His kid sucked but the schools feared Boras' reprisal if they didn't kiss his millionaire ass.

I loathe the guy obviously. Tough to maintain objectivity.

Speaking of Servite, I read in the LAT that Troy Thomas is out as HC. The ahole at Mater Dei is retiring and apparently a couple of the other prominent Catholic schools are in the market for coaches.

Yes. Troy may hope to coach MD but if that happens, the blowback will be like 9/11 ... MD Nation calls him the midget and I doubt he ends up there.

Servite will bring in someone formative... it's possible that Matthew Slater is that choice. He's due to retire and this may be his time. As a Servite grad, he'd be a great choice all around, plus a solid recruiter.

    • According to MLB reporter Ramon D. Carmona, the Los Angeles Dodgers offered Judge a $214 million contract this week, which he and his agent turned down.

Once they stopped teaching Catholicism there and transferred a third of their starters in from south central & the IE, and plugged about 40 million into sports ... they went from zeroes to heroes.

Lead donor for the Bosco football stadium was renowned blood sucking civil attorney Brian Panish, a Fresno St alum. We have a mutual friend (another bloodsucker). I've met him a couple of times.

Not surprising he turned it down. I'm guessing it was a 5 year deal, maybe even 4 if we were getting REAL wild lol

The AAV would have been sexy but he'll get close to that AAV on an 8 or 9 year deal from NY or SF.

I've heard his name. Bosco came out of NOWHERE about 2012 or so. They had wrestling before and now they're a top five national program in football, top ten in state hoops & baseball & track are huge now. Doesn't happen without deep pockets.

Glad to have gotten out of that scene.
