I'm almost ABSOLUTELY wrong on this, but that's why I predict Tatis Jr won't play a full career & won't be a HoF player. It's like this - a father goes from abject poverty in the third world, comes to America & becomes a millionaire. He raises a son to be his successor - makes certain his boy has everything he himself never had. Best of everything... With a handful of exceptions, like Bonds ^ Griffey, how often do these spoiled "nepo babies" (just throwing a woke term at the wokesters) show early promise only to piss it away on women, cars, & lifestyle? Anyway . . I'm just a white honky who DGAF anyway. But that's my 11 cents.
Not disagreeing with you, but the one thing Tatis has going for him is that unlike Verdugo and Vargas, he does have enough raw talent to still do some damage despite a less-than work ethic (if that's true, I don't follow him closely enough to surmise). That's not to say that his ego/attitude can't or won't fuck it all up. We know first-hand how possible that is. Just ask a certain pitcher south of the border who's a couple hundred mil less wealthy than he could've been.
Betts and Freeman both in the lineup today. https://x.com/Dodgers/status/1903901991329575208?t=A9VRxLjoAccNa8aFJCFjKQ&s=19
Meanwhile, the Halos signed Ian Anderson to their pitching staff. For a guy his age, I'm impressed. I loved his work on Thick as a Brick... plus, he can use his codpiece to protect from line drives back to the box....

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts revealed he was scratched from Sunday’s lineup because he had to vomit again. It appears he is still battling the illness that sidelined him for the Tokyo Series. “So looks like I’m just going to be light for a little bit,” Bett said. “Maybe I play uphill a little bit for the beginning of the season. But I just want to play, man. I’m tired of sitting, tired of just throwing up, tired of doing all this. I just really just want to play.”
IDK, it doesn't sound like he is getting any better. https://x.com/DodgerInsider/status/1903986225935188312 Dodger Insider @DodgerInsider Mookie Betts described his illness as frustrating. He hasn’t been diagnosed with anything. He hasn’t been able to hold food down since 2 days before the Tokyo trip. But he says otherwise he feels fine. He said he is down to 157 pounds. 6:44 PM · Mar 23, 2025
Very Sounds like could legitimately be dying Hoping the best for him Not even in relation to being able to play ball anymore but being able to live
mookie reportedly hadn't eaten solid food since before toyko, and when he finally had a normal meal (this morning) he chucked dodgers need to put him on the IL and have the best specialists in the world take a look at him anything less in inexcusable this is no longer a baseball issue, it's a life issue there is no way anyone who can't hold down food for this long should be anywhere near a baseball field
