    Maybe the ultmate move should have been Mookie at 3b, instead of the Great Pyramid at Giza
    Iike we do now.
    Yesterday's insipid cluster fuck loss was an example of probably the three biggest flaws and weaknesses we are dealing with...aside from the hard to fathom pitcher laden IL.
    • The ridiculously unML defense of Max Muncy
    •The inept al-too-common performance of Tanner (the closer"? ) Scott...almost a lock blown save now.
    •The Dave Roberts becoming laughable mantra of putting situations like this together with uncanny anti- skill.

    Worth a shot - desperate times call for desperate measures - although the jaded cynic in me says he'll either remain really bad or will be having Tommy John before the end of the year.

    Been in Triple A….4.61 ERA in 14 appearances. His numbers leave a lot to be desired but worth a shot since he’s had proven success in the majors and can’t hurt with the current state of our blowpen.

    37 saves out of 40 opportunities in 2023
    28 saves out of 32 opportunities in 2024.

    Friedman has a pretty good track record at dumpster dives. Fingers crossed because dependable pen arms are currently at a premium.

    I was just looking at the Gnats box score. Ray pitched them a gem yet they lost 1-0. Wish we had their pitching health. But they only have one hitter over .800 OPS, which is pretty mediocre. The point I mostly want to make is that we dodged a bullet with Adames. What a crappy season offensively, and to think he was one of the big names in the off-season and often mentioned as a Dodger target.

    OK...take away the surnames of, say, twenty guys with Hispanic last names, then you've got loads more black guys as catchers.
    Somewhere in every black Hispanic guy's ethnicity ( or player 's ) I'm pretty sure there was black African genetically linked parenthood. In fact, positive.
    Like Mookie Betts is black, but Teo Hernandez is not ?
    And while I'm at it, why wasn't Roy Campanella a wop ? His father sure was.
    And why was Obama the first black potus ? His mother sure wasn't.
