Looking at his numbers, not much.

Sadly I think the JT ship has sailed, especially as a 3B.

No trade list is probably just for leverage. No sense putting crappy teams on there because they aren't going to trade for you anyways.

Michael Busch now ranks as the third most valuable hitter in the NL this season behind Will Smith and Ohtani

and yet somehow (almost predictably) his 18 hr 56 rbi .297/.384/.566 first half wasn’t deemed worthy of an all star selection

It was hard for me to see him go. With PCL Player of the Year and other accolades, I had a feeling that it was just a matter of time before he put together a season like this. But I get it... there was no room for him at 1B or DH, and his glove was lacking at 3B, and the attempts to convert him to LF weren't succeeding. Still, I wish we were able to work it out - maybe by accepting his fielding at 3B and moving Max to 2B, with Mookie in RF and Kim/Edman manning SS. At least it's not like the Dodgers dealt him for nothing. There's good potential between Ferris and Hope, despite Ferris currently struggling at Tulsa. If one or both of those guys end up being an impact player for LAD, it can go a long way to ease the sting, but if they both cap out somewhere in the minors and we have to watch Busch pile up the stats for the next dozen years, it's going to hurt.

One more thing regarding Busch. Freddie is in year four of six. Although he's on record saying that he wants to keep playing after this contract expires, will the Dodgers really re-up him at age 38? We could've got by with Busch at third for a few years and then moved him to first in '28. Oh well... woulda coulda shoulda.

The fan voting has been flat out bullshit from day one. The fans should be allowed to vote for one player after the team is picked by MLB players.
    One.
    But that's just me.

I think the fans do a decent job with the all star voting.

Outman starting in CF. Watching his AAA highlights his swing looks the same. Don't see him getting around on fastballs above the waist. Prove me wrong James.
