    Love it. Wheels aside, Ruiz was worthless. Dean has certainly paid his dues.

    • The Dodgers have called up outfielder Justin Dean ahead of Friday’s game against the Blue Jays. Dean has appeared in 81 games at Triple-A Oklahoma City this season, slashing .274/.370/.426 with six home runs, 31 RBIs and 25 stolen bases. He replaces Esteury Ruiz on the active roster, as he was optioned on Thursday, per the team’s transaction log. Dean can play all three outfield spots, and will provide speed off the bench. It remains to be seen how he’s used, but he’s unlikely to get many starting opportunties unless he really impresses. The Dodgers are scheduled to face left-handed pitcher Eric Lauer on Sunday, so it’s possible the right-handed hitting Dean gets his first career start in that game. For now, he could be used as a pinch runner and defensive replacement later in games.

    What is gonna take to get Conforto out of the lineup, if not the organization? It’s absolutely mind boggling. And that’s 2-21 (.095) since [the trade] deadline, if you’re scoring.​

    how bad is conforto?…
    as bad as ct3 was, he would have been a better option — a much better option

    The worst part of the deadline was watching the organization decide to stick with Conforto for the rest of the year as the primary starter

    This all goes to the heart of this organization's basic problem under Roberts - in his stint, he's pissed away MININUM three WS championships via stupidity and/or mismanagement... while the FO allowed that to happen and/or signed players like Conforto. Granted 2017 was stolen but those 3 are MINIMUMS...

    When (not if) this team fails in October, it'll be as much on the FO as on Scarecrow. They lack a killer instinct to be champions. If George Steinbrenner owned this team or a Jim Leyland, Lasorda, or Bochy skippered it ... LA would be an unsurpaasable MLB dynasty right now.

    Verlander got shelled again today, and the regret of re-signing this year has to be huge by this point. 1-9? Seriously? Talk about a major taint (hehe) on his otherwise HOF stats.

    I wonder how much Kershaw will factor Verlander's year into his decision in the off-season.
