    Nice corner OFs they've got out there. It's hard to accept that they are ML quality, but there you go.
    Two inept attempts by really challenged players. Hernandez should be totally ashamed of himself.
    I really would enjoy never seeing him out there again.
    I'm fine with that. Kike would be as good, imo.

    I have that Braves power trio of 1973 in my incomplete Topps collection. Darrell Evans, Aaron, and Davey all hit 40+ homers that season.

    I looked it up in honor of Ross Porter, Prince of stats- Davey never faced Gibson or Seaver in that year. He clubbed 40 homers only once, and a dearth of quality pitching helped him do it, as well as Fulton County stadium's helpful winds, which almost always carried to right field.

    After Tommy, LA FO choices for manager were made using the Magic 8 Ball.
    None more an example of that than the present one...
    Then, on the other hand, he may have simply been chosen for his agreeing without question to OBEY .

    I was ok with Bill Russell at first ..
    But I think - as much as the Fox & McCourt eras destroyed the Dodger brand - the others were shit choices .... but not getting Scioscia as a long-term skipper was a huge loss. He took that shitty Angel team to a title in 02 ... he could've done that maybe twice between 2000 and onwards, I think.

    I don't think I've ever seen an entire starting rotation have a week like that. And they needed every bit of it to survive the bullpen. Really should've been a 6-0 week.

    Best part to me, regarding LA's 2nd half hitting woes:
    But right now, at least the Dodgers are all aware of the problem and working to stay on the same page. Freddie Freeman has been encouraging his teammates to focus on the team benefits from an at bat, rather than the individual outcomes.
