I'm guessing they go after Edwin Diaz, hard. Both physically and metaphorically.
    5Y 110M is my guess

If we could sign an Edwin Diaz or even Robert Suarez, so be it. If not, and I know I'm in the minority here, I'd see about bringing Kenley back (why is the ducking the thrown tomato emoji no longer available?). Surprisingly, he had a decent year last year. He says he wants to go four more years... we'll see about that, but if he's agreeable to one year at a time (ala Kershaw at the end), how much of a risk is it really? Like I said, last year was a bit of a resurgence for him, and FWIW he says he's committed to his fitness this offseason. We know for one thing he doesn't get the Tanner Scott deer-in-the-headlights look in tough situations. Three more saves and he passes Lee Smith - do it in blue. And assuming that he's told upfront he could be part of a closer committee and needs to be okay with that (if not, fuck him), I'd say give it a shot. I keep reading fans wanting to resign Bellinger or Turner - I think both of those have played out their Dodger stories, and maybe I should feel the same about Kenley, but Dodgers are in need of a closer, and assuming the other FAs sign elsewhere, I say Jansen is better than what's on the roster. (Not sure what the plan is with Sasaki, but my assumption is that he'll get another shot at starting).

Does anyone else ever trip over the fact that the Dodgers were two outs away from losing the World Series...

... and then out of the blue Miguel Rojas happened?

Think about it. Of all people, Miggy Freakin' Rojas! Don't tell me you weren't looking ahead at Ohtani (even with his uninspiring track record in pressure situations) as our only REAL chance of extending the game. At most maybe hoping Rojas would single or walk to setup a chance for Shohei to find a gap in the outfield. Instead, Miggy said, "Here, let me take of this on my own."

This really is an unpredictable game.

    • Right-handed reliever Raisel Iglesias, who re-signed with the Atlanta Braves on a one-year, $16 million deal on Wednesday, reportedly turned down a similar offer from the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Dodgers cut Evan Phillips and Nick Frasso
Phillips only had 1 year of team control left and he is going to be out until about August
Nick Frasso was just awful; had tons of team control left but he wasn't worth the spot he took on the 40-man
3 spots open on the 40-man
I expect Landon Knack and Ryan Ward to be traded fairly soon
Knack is a break glass in case of emergency SP and he only has 1 option left
Ryan Ward is so fucking awful defensively they wouldn't even give him a shot in LF over Conforto last year who was just as bad, if not worse, defensively as he was offensively
Ward will be traded to a team who believes in the bat enough to give him a shot at DH

Sorry to hear about Phillips. One of their great reclamation projects.

    Mets receive: Marcus Semien, 2B
    Rangers receive: Brandon Nimmo, LF

My gut tells me this means Mets are the Kyle Tucker team.

    You could be right...
But they still have Juan Soto.
Can a team win it all with him ?

    Soto to LF
Yes, a team can win with Soto, he is so fucking good.
If the Mets don't win (they won't), it will not be because of Soto.

Game 7 home run balls caught by the Toronto father and son brought a total of $324,000 at auction. $168,000 for Will's and $156,000 for Miggy Ro's.

Ball that Sho sent out of the stadium against the Brewers brought $270,00. Dude that retrieved the ball was feeding his face with nachos at the time.
