Didn't know the Bums ever played Cactus League then - thought it was all Vero Beach Grapefruit League.
i think (not sure) they’d fly to AZ for a couple of games — just prior to the FWY series — if the regular season opener was at home that way they’d be well rested and eliminate any jet lag/brain fog from a cross country flight again just a guess, but regardless… fuck the giants
@SleeperDodgers Shohei Ohtani in two years since signing with the Dodgers: • 109 HR • 232 RBI • 1.025 OPS • 2.87 ERA • 1st 50/50 season in MLB history • 2x All-Star • 2x NL MVP • 2025 NLCS MVP • 2x World Series Champion Greatest free-agent signing ever.
Meant to write "in his last six years" ... Come to think of it, he was always pretty tongue tied, but a cool guy, and Vinny adored him.
Was. he ? Every time I ever heard him ( which obviously in NJ was minisule compared to you ), but I have to borrow Woody Allen''s. description of his orgasims... " right on the money".
@SleeperMLB The Dodgers have half their team in the Top 100 Rankings from ESPN. 1 - Shohei Ohtani 15 - Kyle Tucker 17 - Yoshinobu Yamamoto 25 - Mookie Betts 34 - Will Smith 36 - Freddie Freeman 70 - Blake Snell 73 - Edwin Diaz
The Andrew Toles commitment: This is by far far the biggest and truly admirable feather in the Dodgers cap of all time. Truly proud being a Dodger fan more for this than their championships. The cream rises to the top...
@FabianArdaya · 38m Dave Roberts suggested it’s hard to see a scenario where Santiago Espinal doesn’t open the season in the majors with the Dodgers. Said he has fit in “seamlessly” with the group.
Except he hasn't played awful during this preseason. Just the opposite, really. But Roberts is right - there's no open spot for him. Though I don't know why he can't stay in the minors as an insurance policy.
I don't know anything about Espinal but it seems he's made it interesting with a solid cactus league effort. Interesting...
