to be fair the dodgers scored two runs in game one, then never scored again over the final 33 innings yeah the three-dog legitimately butchered those balls in CF but a little unfair to make him the scapegoat you aren't going to win many games when you don't score
Absolutely. Willie was the shizzle. My old man bartended at Dodger Stadium from 66-68. Right on what was called the mezzanine level then. He said that employees would bet on Don & Sandy - over/under strikeouts, runs allowed, etc. Also, would each allow 1 run but lose 1-0. That bet was fairly common. I recall Scully saying that happened "three times, but it felt more like a hundred" I miss Vinny.
