i'm in a pretty weird place tbh i've been cleaning out my mom's house a year after her death after a lot of hand wringing and accusations from family members i'm doing it by myself and even though mom didn't have a lot of things of value she had 60 years of accumulation and its seemingly never ending donating everything i can but lately its just about throwing it out cause i can't take it anymore then this asshole starts his shit and i'm just trying to mitigate the damage he's doing to his sister and my kids not about being right or wrong but just wishing he would stop his insanity and yet i know it doesn't work that way amazing how little can really be done when someone flips the fuck out and loses it like this especially if they have a city or county job those unions literally enable sick behavior and continue to pay him while he spirals the trick is not to spiral with him thanks for listening

i have a family member like that hasn’t had a job and zero social interaction in years gets all his news off the internet and thinks he knows everything no grasp on reality, he’s a bitter bitter person kept trying to guilt me about him not having money, and for a while i bought into it my wife even tried to help him get his shit together then one day he went off on her when i wasn’t around i could have either beaten his ass or completely cut ties with him i chose the latter, although the former was tempting fucker cost me $100-200k, but whatev… he’s out of my life and i’m better off tor it catholic church (as f!nski will attest) tries to get you to love, forgive and help those in need i’m pretty good about that but imo sometimes you have to make my own call sorry for rambling diablo and i’m not trying to make it about me (although i clearly just did), i guess i’m just trying to say that there are instances where people are beyond help admittedly it took me a while to wash away his guilt trips but once i did, i quickly realized what a delusional jackass he was and that i had actually been enabling his sorry ass so rest assured you’re in the right, fuck him and anyone else who gives you shit, and let it (and, if possible, him) go fuckers
thanks guys and i went out to his place today w the intention of getting started packing up his shit partially because his sister asked me nicely and partially because i have empathy for the owner of apartment he continues to trash i couldn't do it and almost threw up in my mouth his sister had already cleaned up the place once and he came back and made it worse food all over the floor, things burned on the stove, flies everywhere and just all his shit mixed on the floor like he just dumped it all out of his drawers and closet i'm telling her to let the owner throw it all away and sign off the place to the owner since he isn't getting paid rent and said he'd take it back as is w two broken sliding glass doors and the cleanup its a generous offer i've done as much as i can and honestly wouldn't even know where to start if i could stomach it wish i could post pictures cause its even worse then what i'm describing never seen anything like it
