Reportedly Kimmel has obtained Italian citizenship. Don't the let door hit you in your candy ass, former funny man.
on a side note i own the actual bell from the Man show without providence they auctioned off everything on ebay and its absolutely the one but the auction process was a surprisingly hasty shit show mom used it to ring for the caregivers when she became bed ridden hoping i meet Carrolla one day get it autographed what a maroon kimmel is
Adam was JUST mentioning this about a week or so ago ... he'd have you on the show if you reached out, Devil.
An interesting documentary I saw on the 60's in England had Michael Caine as host, and he told the story of his first role in "Zulu";. which was directed by an American. He said he would have never gotten the role if it was a British director, because he was a cockney, and the class system would have prevented him being cast as an upper crust officer type ( Lt. Bromhead, VC ). The class system then was alive and well 1964. But Caine was determined to play an upper crust type, which led to him playing a cockney when it turned around and was eventually acceptable and he became the unforngettable Alfie.. One of my favorites. Ever. Sidenote: Caine was one, if not the, first leading man ever to wear glasses. Just my diversion talk from the miserble "freefall" bb dirge. Another PS : Rorke's Drift, 1879, the battle against the Zulu had 4,000 Zulu warriors against 100 British soldiers of the 24th Foot.. Essentially a Welsh regiment. They defended the settlement successfully, countless waves of attack after attack, and when the remaining Zulus departed after essentially giving up, they stopped and sang tribute to the bravery of their opponents before leaving. There were 11 Victoria Crosses awarded for valour from Rorke' s Drift.
Grew up watching thatbon KHJ Channel 9 in LA. That & Patton were my father's idea of formation. Good stuff. Favorite line, when Owen 43 fumbles his Garand rifle, the master sergeant comments: "ya slovenly soldier"
what the man show, the auction or the bell? wasn't staying in Norfolk, they bought the house in a place called Suffolk and tbh if it wasn't for that insufferable humidity it a pretty nice place to live people are really nice, no visible homeless or street taco vendors in fact not many Latinos at all not that that's a net positive to be low on Latinos just an observation and all color of people smile and talk to you the blacks are like the old school uh huh, yep and always a laugh folks i remember growing up meeting i don't think there was one bit of attitude from anyone the whole four days i was there besides hanging out and meeting the daughters ship mates on the aircraft carrier Iwo Jima i went to Virginia beach and Portsmouth VB was very clean but they even wanted $4 to walk on on the pier there trying to clip you for even looking at the ocean and very touristy as nice as the beach was it was wall to wall hotels and clip joints plus hotter than hell so we heading to Portsmouth lots of history there and loved walking around reading about all the old buildings built from the mid 1600's onward best meal we had was at a place called La Oficina that was Venezuelan owned and literally everything from steaks to octopus and asparagus was perfect going to be interesting to see how they acclimate but seeing kids jumping around in the rain splashing each other was a nice throwback to a day gone by biggest threat to the house i could see was the wood on the roof line which needs to be attended to annually or clad because dry rot is on steroids there will go back when she returns from what is mostly a European deployment in 8 months maybe leave a little more time to visit Chesepeake, Richmond etc. as i love civil war history and it really is beautiful
I meant the bell in particular but Carolla brings up the Man Show often. Great to hear your take on things & especially Norfolk...lots of tales by my Da about that town.
So he was talking about the man show Belle and wondering what happened to it or something cuz I'll definitely look him up
i like how its northfolk and southfolk lol are they green and red or blue and red lol this was a good story, i liked the twists and turns you got me there first with the no latino food vendors misdirection and from then on it was a nice concise set of data points told with enough detail but without much flair but just enough to not be gay really good effort almost as good as one of BZ's editorials but BZ's stuff always has a bit more flair to it so its not really fair BZ's sounds better to my ear to his immigrant ethnic background but your stories are pretty good too for a non british white guy
ok i'll include something i left out and perhaps you'll find this more acceptable to your sensibilities when i flew out this morning Lala and i were 2+ hours early so what to do? find the bar of course and at 7am you're only going to find a certain type hanging in airport bars but its usually a fun conversation the bar lady was super fun and announced w each beer your choice of shot was half price well boy howdy half price of what was never discussed but as people came and went a colorful older lady sat down next to us and it was obvious she was up for fun and pretty out there sharing some witty banter the subject becomes music and i ask her if she's a performer to which she says yes she is in a band called Gwar now i have some idea about this band but didn't know they had a female and just thought they were kind of an over the top comedy parody act which i guess they are she said they would be performing in LA on Sept 14th and if we wished to go she'd be very happy to see us and be sure to come say hi i was sure they wore costumes and asked how i would know her to which she responded "i'm the one w the big bullet tits" well ok! time to board and we slither into our seats and after a few minutes they announce they are waiting for a passenger Kim Daylia which i'm sure must be her since i left her in the bar eventually she strolls in and walks to the back of the plane and i say in my best low deep monster voice as she passes "GWAR" that gets a laugh from her and "i'll see you next month" and confused odd looks from most of the passengers within earshot of the exchange those looks continued throughout the flight when i'd notice haha saw her again outside and she reminded me again how fun this little party would be and it was celebrated 40 years of the band while its not exactly my style but is seems like the musicians are better than good and in this clip they even switch over to a Jim Carroll song for a recently deceased member Oderus the video is 10 years old so she's a bit older but still full of life i'm going for sure just for the spectacle and sheer curiousity of course this is the event https://www.metalsucks.net/2025/08/05/gwar-gets-40-year-retrospective-showcase-in-los-angeles/
I already stopped at you know what part of this post so i could type WTF!!! now i will continue to read hte rest of the post im back... wtf thats a good story and more of the type of diablo storytelling im used to not that i was complaining about your previous post, i thought it was good and gave you a solid 2nd place but now that you added in all the color you back tied for number 1 with BZ dont be sad that you slipped for a bit not everyone can be vin scully all the time giving all the data points while providing his own colors BZ is our vin but your our chick finksi got so much color he flames so he makes a great disco stu now back to gwar i was never a big fan not that i didnt like them i was team green jello back during the cereal killer wars and it wasnt cool to jump scenes sure they were a little corny but im a little flaky even back when i was 13 at least im not puffed wheat so its ok to be a little rooster like cornelius besides kellogs was an sda gwar is awesome though ive never been to a gwar show and that is something worth paying to see because gwar is not mere entertainment they are a spectacle to behold and well worth the price of admission plus im guessing they cant afford to charge too much cuz gwar! nice to hear you and lala are up to your usual adventures you guys dont know how many times up on the hill it would be boring and i would get a lot of solid entertainment from reading all about your adventures im kinda having adventures now too that i live down here with the landlubbers
I remember my kid loved GWAR and went to a few of their concerts. All he could say about them was "awesome !". Oh and Insane Clown Posse...or ICP as we aficionados say....
