Last night was a huge kick in the balls. Kings comeback from 2-0 and the Dodgers comeback from 7-1 just for both to lose.... Evander Kane has easily become my least favorite hockey player. Scumbag
Sorry to get away from the hockey fans, but I've been intrigued by this stuff happening in the PGA. Phil Mickelson getting himself into hot water with the PGA really smacks of more than PC cancel culture; it smells like monopoly. Golf has been a millionaire's game for a long time, and other than duffing along in a few public courses back a few years ago, I can live without golf. I suck at golf & can't afford it anyway. So whatever happens here doesn't affect me in any way, shape, or form. But the PGA is being challenged by Middle Eastern money. And that clearly scares the hell out of them. They've been more than happy to take Saudi Arabian and United Arab Emirates and Middle Eastern money - in all of its colors - for decades now without caring, but now suddenly when a rival league comes along, they act holier than thou. Phil Mickelson's willingness to do business directly with these people who practice human trafficking and don't recognize the rights of women is an affront to PGA sensibilities. Well that's just horseshit. Let's not kid ourselves. The PGA is not a civil rights organization. It took them a long time to even acknowledge that Black people can play on a course without being the caddies. I get that the PGA has been the big thing, and I don't support the Saudis in anyway and in anything, but as a staunch capitalist, I like e knowing competition... and the PGA is just worried that Saudi money is going to overshadow them. The End. Maybe you should have a better more affordable product and you wouldn't be able to be overtaken by people like this, PGA.
Heck of an effort by Quick. Sucks to be up 3-2 and lose a series but I really enjoyed this season. Almost nobody had the Kings making the playoffs before the season started.
They were playing with house money. Shame they got so close before bowing out. I really believe they win the series with a healthy Ardvisson and Doughty. Kings were offensively challenged, especially on the power play.
Lakers have narrowed it down to 3 guys for head coach my question is who would want that job after mebron gutted the team? its not like the last coach was the problem
I don’t care for the Warriors or Heat but I’ll gladly cheer for them over Boston. Anyone but the Celtics
It's funny about the Celtics. All my life I've been known in my social circles as a rabid Irish Catholic, and yet I've loathed that team even before the Lakers thing in the early 80s. Red Auerbach was such a loudmouth prick and a pontificating twat and my Dad already hated him, so maybe I got it from him. I cannot stand the NBA, but as its on the table to declare, I'm with you guys. I'd actually root for the Angels, Yankees, Cards, or Mets if I had to, but to me, the Celtics and the Giants are the two teams in the "slit my own throat rather than pull for them" category.
NBA ratings are supposedly at their highest but I can't get through half a game. There hasn't been a close game in two weeks. Every game is decided by halftime, who the fuck wants to watch that? Been enjoying the NHL playoffs a lot more even though the Kings were eliminated.
Stupid Heat. Almost certain to be Warriors-Celtics now. My only rooting interest this postseason was anyone vs Boston and my worst fear is one series away from happening. Yuck
