I’ll always hold a grudge against PC for that call, wanted him gone immediately after. Buttt it does sting less because we won in a convincing fashion against the same franchise. Good comeback story for us.
Pete Carroll came to Servite to recruit Matt Kalil when he was still HC at USC. I hated the fuck for years - he's a self-loathing Catholic & and elitist. I know people who worked with him when he coached the Jets. Two-faced prick. Anyway, everyone kissed his ass that day but I called him out about having ballz to come to a Catholic HS when he's been critical of the church. He stared at me like I had 3 heads. I repeated it, then told him the BushPush was a candy ass call. At that point, my boss grabbed me and pulled me aside & cooled me out. I would've torn that phag a new one if it went 10 seconds longer. Fuck Pete Carroll. He's the white Joe Morgan to me. When a Servite grad (Matt Slater) was right there on the field when PC fucked up & didn't hand it to Marshawn ... I laughed my fat ass off.
Even as a Rams fan, I don't mind the Seahawks winning. I'm pretty much ambivalent to most of the other teams and if not for the Patriots I'd have had no preference in this game. But New England is the one team I will root against, at least until Kraft is gone. So yeah, nicely done Seahawks!
Not surprised at all with what you said about Pete. He always seemed disingenuous to me. Glad he’s gone and our GM can finally do his job. He has nailed every pick since he has been gone.
