If they're gonna sell Puig at all they'd probably want to do it while he has multiple years of team control left, so it very well could be decision time this off-season. But at the same time, his recent shenanigans cannot be helping his trade value. I don't think it tears down what he was able to produce this year completely, but it is a topic that'll more than likely be addressed in trade talks and that's a negative for LAD's side. Some would say, " well, that's why you don't make his transgressions public. " And that'd make sense if teams weren't able to obtain knowledge about guys from behind the scenes regardless. McCullough said it was multiple infractions, so I imagine we'll get more clarity at some point.
The injury probably another reason why they'll give him another go next year..that and the cheap contract, and the fact that he did kill lefties and give them options all over the IF. One could argue that the injury was predictable, knowing his history, but at the same time we all know LAD gravitates to the health risk a lot of times. I wanna see what he can do against a RHP over this final stretch. If he's on, we may have a 5 spot guy.
Giggity Giggity Giggity - analyze - Puig - analyze - Puig - analyze - Puig - does not compute - does not compute - does not compute error - error - error - error - error - error!!!!!!!!!
Logie Bear should feel bad about Silver Fox out-slugging him this year But if Logie and Grandy are back, or close to being in tune, that could push Puig back to the 8 spot and glory be. That's if Puig can manage to get out of the doghouse. The big news right now is obviously Puig's petulance, but riding below the radar is his spiraling OPS in September..maybe one reason why they wanted his ass at BP early
And now Grandy is suddenly back for the playoffs too? My God, you cunts are getting delusional. Has the water been spiked out there? You cunts are slipping BADLY.
Sweet. We've got Logan Forsythe and Curtis Granderson for October. When are we getting our championship tattoos. This place is out-of-control.
This may fly over your head, but Grandy has a .772OPS over the last 10 games and a near .800 career OPS in the post season..had a +1.000 OPS against LAD in the NYM series from a couple years ago.
Do you even watch the games and pay attention to anything beyond the box score/result? Both guys have actually been regularly squaring the ball up and when making outs, they still have been under good at bats. There is more to a guys linescore and both of Granderson and Forsythe have been having better AB's over the past two+ weeks?
But in Grandy's case the boxscore is actually trending upward, so I don't know what he's on about. If Grandy is inching back towards his .800+ ish OPS, LAD will be in better shape because this is a guy that has actually hit post season pitching throughout his career. Grandy's been in 12 playoff series in his career, and been solid to great in 7 of them...we don't have another outfielder that can say that. I'm sure NZ would give Grandy more cred if he were more charismatic since he covets charisma and shit
I'm far less worried about both Granderson and Forsythe in the playoffs than I am about Seager right now. Corey has done nothing in the PO's outside of a couple HR's last year to start off a couple of games and right now looks like a complete mess at the plate. He is playing with an injury that needs surgery and whether they say so or not, his mechanics are out of sync from it. Monday said last night that they have figured out what the issue is and they are correcting it. Rick says Corey is starting to do the things of a player that is about to come out of it, but man I just don't see it. If his bat stays where it currently is, we will be rightfully fucked since he IS the best hitter on the team and it is hard to win a WS when your best player is not right.
Hahaha October is about to become the Logan and Curtis show! Can't wait, sounds exciting. Can any of them pitch the seventh for us? With such hot sizzling bats, maybe they can offer a lively arm too? Never know with this dynamic duo.
What I wanna know is how much of next year are they sacrificing when it comes to Seager and this surgery.. When Seager sent that shot to dead CF against SFG I thought he was coming out of it, but I guess maybe that ball would've gotten out of there if he weren't dealing with the elbow. He's our MVP, so yeah, I'm with you..we'll be in trouble. I wonder if they're shooting it up with the ol' needle
Im not sure Seager is as bad as anyone thinks. Seager, Cody and Puig all sorta stopped trying when the team did, IMO. Playing out of position, losing reps to losers, rest days. Must be hard mentally on young players, was hard mentally on me too. Hopefully he's just yawning his way to the post and can flick a switch, because we fucking need him.
Seager is a mystery to me... One minute he looks like he's the best in the game, and then, like now, he looks as if he hasn't a clue. I do believe he could throw it away at any time... At one point in the season, much earlier, he looked thin and pale, and had dark circles under his eyes. And was playing badly. Kid just looked sickly to me. I sincerely hope his bat returns quickly, because without him, I don't think we do a fucking thing except watch the series while two others play. As usual.
No one is saying Logie and Grandy are going to go nuts and put up a ton of runs on the board, people just think they will do enough to help keep us in games. And with Pedro Baez now throwing well, a couple scoreless innings in his last 2 games, we shouldn't need a ton of runs to win.
This would be the perfect time to sell high, that is the truth. But unless the haul we receive includes a Giancarlo Stanton...
