Maybe his long trips to the disabled list before were blessings in disguise in keeping him fresh

    he's a notorious slow starter
but that was primarily with his power
    hopefully you're right

I mean, a few days ago I looked at his numbers for a second and he had a .385 OBP on the season with a .900+ OPS over a 53 game period. Was hitting .310, too.
Then he went 2 for 15 with a lot of Ks.
I think he is/will be fine.
With his mechanics, a lot of it has to do with timing.

We definitely need him to be his clutch self down the stretch.

the swings looked tired and they needed a break just thought maybe they'd put up an effort
after last night i pretty much figured they'd be mailing it in today
guess its to be expected at some point but those lineups don't help either

You know, I thought much the same, imo, most evident with Cody's swing. Really much less enthusiastic and meek much of the time in recent games. And others...Joc big time.
I guess a shot at a million is cool, but if it is fatigue ( that would explain the grotesquely limp offense to some degree), then the HR derby stands to tucker out Joc to a new low. Possibly.
But then, if it is simply being tired, what about the rest of the teams then? SD, AZ, and CO sure don't look all petered out like we do.
    Internal problems?

i give cody credit for opting out of the derby
    joc will essentially become barnes
and yet the two of them and kiké will still be better than pollock

"We showed [the Dodgers] what we were capable of, how we're moving, what we can do. So pay attention. It's going to be interesting."
    - Fernando Tatis Jr

actually... if anything we showed you what we're capable of -- underachieving
but, ultimately, the only thing that's going to be interesting is to see if you scrubs can finish over .500
enjoy your 4 days off meat

Shut the fuck up. Your ass just got swept three straight by the sorry ass Giants.

That said, Titis is scary good.

Lotta flappin fuckin lips from this team, from this 22 yr. old plus smart mouth Machado, probably the inspiration for the overconfidence and bravado. Along with hard looking, evil staring Paddack, they now are badasses of baseball, I guess.
Thing is, anybody can beat the Dodgers right now, so I wouldn't get all cocksure and fully erect if I were the the Padres about it. They need to calm the fuck down like a .500 team should.
    This shit ain't over.
    Not at all.
