Most excited I've been watching a Dodgers game all season.

Reminded me of that crazy comeback years ago vs the Padres when they hit 4 HRs in a row in the 9th followed by the Nomar walk off in the 10th

How do the Padres even show up to the park tomorrow after that?

Hopefully they don’t. But it sucks to have to hope for a miracle from the Douche-Backs.

    A few thoughts:

Like jpl said, is it always the Padres we have 4-HR innings against? These weren't consecutive like Kent, Drew (I think), Martin, and Anderson, but pretty cool nonetheless.

That said, but is it me, or does the tandem of Mendoza and that other chick calling the game on ESPN just suck the excitement out of a big inning like that? I don't know, kudos to ESPN for trying I guess, but that experiment is a big fail imo.

I almost don't want to compliment him, because whenever I do, it seems to jinx him, but wow Kenley! I'll leave it at that.

Arizona is just keeping it close for a few innings so they can say they tried, but you can bet they'd rather get swept than see the Dodgers win the west again. Like I said a few days ago, their win against us last week was their WS. They're not going to taint it by helping us gain the game back in the standings.

I'm probably in the minority here, but we need to re-sign Seager. His M.O. has always been as a slow starter, but once he gets going, he can carry a team through the playoffs.

Hopefully Lux is okay. The timing of the Bellinger HR was awesome, but I don't think for a moment that Cody's back. We need Lux's hot bat as a viable option so that Roberts doesn't start Cody in the playoffs.

I'm not worried about Scherzer. He's still the guy you put all your money on in a one-game playoff series.

On the other hand, this 3-batter minimum devalues pitchers with potential for control issues... case in point Grateral. How can you chance him in a tight game?

Something is so gratifying with watching the primadonna Machado wrapping up another losing season.

That 8th inning call by the ESPN crew was pretty lame.

Listened to Tim and Nosemar, so I wasn't subject to the ESPN experiment last night.

The week from hell aside, Kenley has been anywhere from effective to even dominant lately. Quite a comeback from a year ago.

I'd like Seager back, too. Have to think the Yankees will break the bank to snag him.

Shame about Lux. Showed his inexperience on that play. That might have been the best swing Belli's made all year and not just because of the timing. He hit a rocket with a short, balanced swing. Not holding my breath for a return to MVP form, though.

Scherzer will be fine. But he was throwing BP last night. A lot of the outs he got were loud ones.

A little worried about the Bazooka. He was the squirt gun last night. The walks are particularly troubling.

Corey Seager had a 1.171 OPS last postseason while hitting 320 with 8 HRs and 20 RBI. He is the biggest reason the WS drought ended and his postseason was one of the best in franchise history. It would be really sad to lose a special hitter like him that is still 27 and has been apart of the Dodgers organization his whole career. I feel like the Yankees/Angels are going to throw ridiculous money at him but I really hope we find a way to keep him. The injuries and questionable play at short can be maddening but there's no denying how special he is offensively.

That was sweet! I wish Vinny could've called last night's 8th. Or at least if I listened to the Dodgers current radio team. Instead I had to endure the two women on ESPN - I swear, they spent more time that inning discussing the AL WC race than they did the action on the field. Like they were following a script of discussion topics... 8th inning, Al WC teams.

Sat in Andrew Friedman's seats the first 2 games and had chicken with Steve Garvey and Dave Winfield in the (soon to be renamed) San Manuel club. I tried on an authentic WS ring to boot! I'd post pics but I can't.

    I'm fucked from now on!

Unless ARI shocks the world and steals a game tonight, Roberts should start managing to prep for the WC game. The Padres are throwing everything they've got at the spoiler role against us (just like DBags did last series). By next series SD will just be going through the motions. No way SFG loses two to them.

They almost sounded unhappy, like they were forced to call it but really didn’t like this was happening.

The best example would be a call from the other team’s broadcasting team.

So Rojas from the D-backs have two on two outs, and he strikes out looking with all the strikes being called looking.

Don’t know if I am angrier at the umps for being generous with the strike zone for the home team or at Rojas for a pretty weak at-bat. He didn’t even seem like he was trying.
