Yeah, the one consistent thing over his career is inconsistency. Maybe he is approaching his end of the line as a Dodger. However, last year he OPS'd .901 over 205 ABs. He's only had 45 this season, so he may get that number up yet. And even at his current .705, it still better than Peralta (.535).

I agree, both worked out. Can't deny.
But only by good fortune and flat out luck, and Dave is no Nostradamus.
The bouncer Austin hit was a cookie 99% of the time for an average ML 3rd baseman, let's face it. That was a terrible effort, but worked out great for us. And I'm super glad it was uh...Barnsie.
Rojas definitely was unexpected, and tip of the hat to him. Don't know why it wasn't blocking the plate either.
As far as Roberts, with Caleb dealing filth, why take him out to face Turner, when Harper is behind him, and having a spectacular game? If R/L is so important, why have a nothing but contact ( not a K pitcher at all ) RH pitcher to face Bryce Harper in that situation ?
But it all worked out for the Max to be hero script...indeed!

Yeah, I only saw the video of the Barnes hit about an hour ago. Should've been a routine ground out. Austin needs to get Mookie to give him some more batting pointers, like Betts did when he first came over.

At least he's making some fairly hard contact now. He was watching lots of balls go whizzing by not too long ago.
He deserves some assy luck going his way.
