The details of the report do not sound good, so thoughts and prayers go out to Joel, Josh and their friends and family. “The shooting occurred about 1:45 a.m. in the 22900 block of Vanowen Street, said Sgt. Javier Lara of the Los Angeles Police Department. As the victim pulled into his residential driveway, which is in an alley, he was approached by a man described as white and in his 30s. An altercation took place, and the assailant opened fire while the victim was inside his vehicle, Lara said. The shooter then fled the scene in a red two-door vehicle. Ravin sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was listed in critical condition, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department. On Oct. 20, Randall Elmer Stinson of Winnetka was arrested for attempted murder, kidnapping and robbery, the release stated. A second suspect, James Baggett of Panorama City, turned himself in on Nov. 2, after a warrant was issued for his arrest.” Ravin has spent much of his career in the minor leagues but made his debut this season. In nine games, he threw 9.1 innings with a 6.75 ERA and a 2-1 record. Those stats do not matter even in the slightest, as right now all that matters is the wellness of his family.
