They saw what the Lakers from Minnesota saw. Showtime. Why didnt the Dodgers move to Minnesota who was courting them hard? Because it wasnt just about the money ay. They could be kings of showtime in LA. Instead of the bums in the Yankees shadow. So the Dodgers started to make deals in LA, knocking down dominoes and getting the story going. The Giants were in on it from early on. Both teams came into CA and affiliated with the Stars and the Angels and the Missions. They got the taste of hanging out with Gary Cooper and all the hot starlets. Then they then purchased the teams moved them around to other states. Hollywood stars now addicted to being hardcore baseball fans were in blue heaven when the Hollywood Stars essentially became the LA Dodgers. Which was no coincidence. But nothing more than hard work by excellent scouts and businessmen with the ability to see a plan through. You know how the Stars had such a huge fanbase? Their star power of folks in the standings was so great that it was worthwhile for KTTV to broadcast the games on the air. This was not a major league team in the slightest and they played other pacific coast teams. But it was on TV. Im sure that helped Dodger execs with vision get inspired to move here. And how FOX ended up buying up both the team and the tv station creating the media empire to rival the Yankees. But this is the Dodgers not the front page Yankees. Dodgers have to use skulduggery and chicanery to make it from back to front. They have to move with alacrity in order to gain the initiative over their rivals. The old Dodgers way works.
