I know everybody hates Loney, but he's about as smooth as any 1B I've seen. Fucking guy is just great with the leathre...great.

i'm w you i don't hate the guy. he saves a lot of hits and errors. just tough when there is almost zero offense from the corners.

 

He'd probably have the heat off of him if we had another bat. Two bats actually.

Telling stat from Vin....Dee 0-11, kemp is 0 -13. So sandwiched around Ellis are two guys that are 0-24...sounds good for the 1,2,3 batters.

To your guys Loney conversation, I think the problem is 1B is the place where it's easiest to find offense. If we had great hitters all around, we could afford the drop in offense from 1B, look at the Rangers for example. But we don't have that luxury.

even average jitter (.270) could hide Loney's offensive struggles. But Dee has decided he sucks, Uribe is the same as Loney (good to great with the glove, but horrible offense), and our LF is in question.
