    I grew up a huge fan of Eric Davis and Daryl Strawberry as a little kid.
    Even when they were washed up I was excited to see them in Dodger blue.
    Probably why I liked Mondesi and Puig too.
    Mookie is smaller than these guys but just as exciting.
    And yeah, racist.
    But I always wanted to see an exciting black superstar OF on the Dodgers.
    And Mookie is like our version of the Barry Bonds story.
    But Mookie is the anti-Bonds.

    Which was my point after the posts about how Mookie is better than we even hoped for.
    Like I hoped to see a Dodgers OF with 5 tools that could do it all and be a top level superstar.
    Kemp was as close as we got to fulfilling that promise but his 5 tools were not the most sharp ones in the shed.
    Mookie is like hoping for a marvel girl and getting a wonder woman.

    The first two played before Hector was a pup.
    Martin is a pudgy catcher and Roberts died and was replaced by a replicant prototype long ago that suffers from corrupted data analysis in his prime directive.

    but i'm sure you've at least seen footage of Wynn and Smith

    • Trading the 29-year-old Clevinger would epitomize risk. He's an elite starter with at least two more years of team control -- three if the team keeps him on option for 20 or more days. Cleveland also desperately needs a quality outfielder. Over 334 plate appearances this season, its outfielders are hitting a collective .166/.273/.249. That is pitcher-quality offense among a group of position players.

    I don't think the Dodgers would be able to offer something that significantly helps Cleveland this season, which means the price would be high with no urgency to make a trade with us. I can't envision a Clevinger trade without May or Lux involved.
