Ozark got roasted for not subbing out Luzinski in LF.

Like that Roberts kept him in to face Cron after the bloop single and error. White earned his stripes last night. Too bad he didn't the W.

Not nice infield defense last night. A couple of nice picks by Freddie.

Bellinger with his weekly tease performance. Nice comeback from his ill-advised throw.

Was that an illusion or did Kimbrel and Price both pitch spotless innings last night?

Plus, I didn't realize until I watched it again today that Lopes was out at first.

But yeah... Luzinski was a tub of guts on defense.

Definitely got some breaks during that classic comeback.

This was the era of Dodger baseball that made me a fan. Although seeing Dusty in blue stirs up mixed emotions.

Davillio with the perfectly executed drag bunt. Talk about a lost art.

And my last thought - not really related to the video other than Reggie Smith's name mentioned at the end... In last night's radio broadcast during the Will Smith and Mookie AB's in the ninth, Monday kept mentioning that Kris Bryant was positioned too deep to throw out Bellinger (the potential winning run) on a tag up. Steiner said, "Bryant has a good but not great arm." Then Monday added, "From where he is, he would need an arm like..." In my head I was expecting "Mookie, Bellinger, Puig, or Mondesi," but Monday named Reggie as the great arm. And I forget that about him - that he could throw home on the fly with precision from the warning track. No doubt, the Dodgers have had some great outfield arms over the years. (Possibly Furillo was the best).

Reggie had a cannon. Injuries (because he played so hard) took something off his fastball in later years.

Mondesi and Puig could wing it, too.

I have no consternation about Dusty the Dodger. He was a good one. Shame he went to the dark side (racist) as a manager.

My father was always pissed at Walter O"Malley & Campanis for passing on Clemente.

If they'd had him, and if that somehow kept him off that damn plane ... That would have been titles for sure.
