Gotta give the devil his due...Moronsey got it right by calling Heywood's number last night.
I have been reminded. that a broken clock...blah , blah...but who would have thought it by Heywood ?
And Hernandez actually got a single when it counted, even though Mookies foot bounced at the plate.
    Great win.
Guess this is the way it's gotta be when you have two teams breathing down you're neck that do not lose.
Their recent W/ L records are simply mind boggling.

    Reading Buehler's lips, he said " that's a strike, scumbag !".
DB Bucknor should go the way of Angel Hernandez. He's just over the top incompetent. Does anyone monitor these failures for job performance ?
Are there no workhouses to put them in ?
The "human element" argument is so fucking old now, not only for the sake of the game, but the challenges on other calls which has existed for years now, blatantly illustrates the dire need for it. Last night, balls were strikes and strikes were balls...that can't be allowed to continue unabated.
The cluster fuck quality of many games that is regularly being tainted by low quality umpires is changing the core of baseball, andwhat we all learned as kids, and certainly not for the better.

Bullpen bailed Buehler's sorry ass out, although Hudson's outing hardly inspired confidence. Buehler losing his shit says as much about him as it does a shitty umpire.

The Lux HR is going to make the highlight reels for years. Back to back Max.

Tough call for Mookie at the plate. Go head first and you risk your hands. Feet first makes to tough to touch the plate with your lead foot. Shame because he beat the throw.

Dodgers put a pretty good beating on an excellent closer last night, although Munoz has to be kicking himself for hitting the slumping (to put it kindly) with an 0-2 pitch.

Might temporarily cancel that bad back trip to IL for J Hey. That ball was hammered.

actually i think that's like 3 ph HR's for JHey
i remember a slam in CO...no way CT returning bumps him as a power LH bat off the bench is a very good thing to have
would they do something stupid like release Kiermaier or Kike in favor of CT?

Yeah, I guess losing his shit is not professional and all. But I can get his frustration... he was a talented pitcher and a force to be reckonec with. I remember more than one writer/ broadcaster naming him as the top pitcher in the game. It's a long way down from that.
However, after his deserved and unprofessional admonishment of scumbag Bucknor, the whole complexion of the Dodger team changed, and for the better, imo.
Sometimes playing angry gets it done.
Even Davesey was pissed last night.

    Think you're right.
Either Kiermaier or Kike would be a real shame to lose by way of release. The confidence you feel alone when a ball is hit to CF when Kiermaier is playing is worth keeping him, imo.
I didn't feel that with rookie Pages. I don't even know where Outman is now.

Miguel Rojas is “fine” but his left hamstring was kind of “balky” so they decided to give him a day off.

not to overreact, but every time roberts says someone is fine they end up going on the IL

Thought the idiot who was thrown out at the plate in the 9th should have been out on principle. Such stupidity shouldn't be rewarded.

Honestly I thought he was safe.

they are incredible but we've beaten them in close games
i think the west becoming a race is the best thing that could have happened to this team
to that end i hope they keep the pressure on because this is a different squad right now
