    It's a shame the players can't self motivate and the manager lacks the skill set to be a motivator, and the only way they get up for games is after their 10-ish game lead dwindles to 2. This by the way is why this team falls short in the playoffs - other teams want it more. Maybe a tight division would be a good thing. I'd even go as far as saying that having to settle for a wildcard berth might not be bad.

    Absolutely agree. After Hudson caught the ball, he was crazy glued to that spot, and the lunatic flew past him.
    Ialso thought the pickoff was successful, but reply said no.
    Is this the beginning of ump- like faux pas on replays ??

    Ohtani's recent struggles have coincided with the reduction in his walk rate. Perfect example last night. He's jumping at everything. He's not carrying the Angels on his back anymore. He needs to take his walks and let Mookie, Freddie and Teo drive him in.

    I believe Ohtani is a special player, and I'm glad we have him. I keep holding out hope that he'll come up with the big hit more often when the game's on the line, but that's a separate point. What really bugs me though is that both the team and the media over promote him. For example, I read the recap of last night's game and the lead-in highlight was that he swiped his 39th base. Really? Not Muncy's two doubles, three RBIs?
