Joc honestly needs to be hitting second until Puig gets back. then lead off when Puig gets back. Wouldn't mind Rollins in the middle of our order, he drives in runs.

I agree. Give him some time. Much more pressure hitting at the top of the order.

What useful purpose is a guy serving getting on base 4 times a game if the pitcher is hitting behind him.

yep. more pressure and hitting down in the lineup without much protection is gonna help his development as a player..keep him honest with his approach.

way too early to be tryin to move him to the top of the order, especially when he's thriving as is and the team is feeding off his presence at the bottom. he just needs to worry about playing great defense in center and having good ABs at the bottom of the lineup.

Cargo and Tulo coming to town. Vin is going to be shitting his pants with excitement. If Orlando Hudson played for the Rockies at the same time, his head might explode.

disagree, best hitters need to be hitting at the top. If where he hits in the order affects his mentality then he is playing the wrong sport.

For one thing, it gets the lineup through the pitcher's spot so they're not leading off the next inning. For another, Kershaw, Greinke, and Ryu have shown they can handle a bat relatively well. But mostly, it keeps him in a lower pressure spot in the order to further his development - seeing more MLB level pitchers, getting a feel for what stuff they have, and all the while gaining confidence. He'll be at the top part of the lineup soon enough. Much more to gain in the long run keeping him where he is now.

Glad we got the win...but Taijuan Walker's fam lives down the street from me and went to the game. Kind of hoped he'd have a slightly better outing than that for his parents sake, not that I'm really complaining though.

Nice win last night. Brett Anderson might be the worst hitter I've seen in the majors since Randy Johnson, but nice win.

I'm sure it is, especially if you don't really need your hands much for trivial things like hitting, catching, and throwing. Sliding head first greatly increases the chance of injury to the head and hands, and I'm surprised you don't know that. Dee Gordon knows it and was working on his feet first slide in spring training.

To sweep a series that didn't involve Kershaw or Greinke pitching in any of the games is down right fucking awesome. Sure it took two walk offs but a W is a W.
