I dont think magic ever had aids.
The CDC probably paid him a bunch of money to be the fall guy/poster boy and all his past deeds would be swept under the rug.
This is hollywood, the capital of showtime.

Now the LATimes Dylan 'I look more Mexican than I am but I needed that look to get a job" Hernandez is passing his 'a posteriori' reality of "I told you Bauer would be a problem" lying, mewling shit now.

Here's a thought - if you're ever going to say, "I told you so..." make that pre-declaration public BEFORE something happens for you to profess anything real before it happened.

As for me ... I told you guys that Kenley would sign with the Braves AND NOW WHO'S LAUGHING, BITCHES!?!?!?

That newsbreak is about as predictive as Hernandez's take on Bauer. Oh ... And Dylan ... just come out gay and embrace it. It can only help your appeal. You'll never make it on your journalism, primo.

I keep reading more that if Bauer successfully reduces his suspension through the appeal, Dodgers will cut him and eat the remaining contract. Which could impact our ability to sign another impact player if needed. Which means I now hope the arbitrator rules to keep the suspension. Harsh? Yes, but he's the moron that put himself in that situation.

I'd argue that LA deserves the fiscal hit.

He's an asshole and a sexual peccant, but Guggeheim via Kasten via Freidman knew who he was purported to be. So they deserve it.

I get it though. As fans, we don't want the team hamstringed financially. So sure ... let him twist on his rope and lose the contract. But I think the sheisters will give him back half the suspension and LA will be on the hook. So be it.

yeah its hard to disagree w you but equally hard for me to judge anyone coming from my background
doing stupid things while a hormone filled boner brain in a young mans body is one thing
having a palace and endless supply of everything you ever want is another
no question he put himself in the position and was stupid
still i'm rooting for the man because i know what it feels like to have everyone you know look upon you w scorn
and i think that bitch is lying and so does the court apparently
don't really care about how it affects the team financially but do understand your point

I agree with your take. I think she's lying too, although I can't say whether these "other women" have a legit case or not since there've been no details made public. Kind of kills the mood, but if I'm in his position with his huge contract and so much to lose, I'd look to have everything in writing prior to the act. He has attorneys - have them take care of the business before he gets down to business, so to speak. Yeah, that's easy to say and hard to do. But he's got to know that he's the golden goose for any diggers out there. I am sympathetic towards him and his situation, but the fan in me overrules and I want the team to have as much financial flexibility as possible - not to increase profits for ownership, but to be able to continue to sign impact players.

remember when they busted James Worthy in houston w a couple of hookers?
before that i always wondered why they didn't just pay for the services but i guess it all comes down to ego
Kobe had to know something was amiss but just had to have it
power of the pussy is very real and one of the few things that can be counted on
unless of course you're from SF and prefer your little brown ring w a side of scrotum

    A lovely update on Trevor's situation ...
Definition of ‘brutalize’ is latest twist in Trevor Bauer case
    BY BILL SHAIKIN

Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer has sued the San Diego woman who accused him of sexual assault, two media outlets that covered the case, and two journalists and one attorney who commented on it. On Tuesday, that attorney raised a question that could speak to public perception in the case: Just what does it mean to say one person “brutalized” another?

“The word ‘brutalize’ is commonly used to describe consensual beatings,” attorney Fred Thiagarajah argued in a filing Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana.

Thiagarajah formerly represented the woman, who since has filed a countersuit against Bauer for alleged sexual battery.

In February, after the Los Angeles County district attorney declined to file criminal charges against Bauer, Thiagarajah told the Washington Post: “There’s no doubt that Mr. Bauer just brutalized [the woman].” Bauer sued for defamation, in part because he claimed that statement was “contrary to the conclusions” of the district attorney and a judge who previously had denied the woman a restraining order.

In Tuesday’s filing, Thiagarajah relied on the judge’s explanation for her decision. The judge said the woman was “not ambiguous about wanting rough sex in the parties’ first encounter and wanting rougher sex in the second encounter.” Yet the judge also said the woman’s “injuries as shown in the photographs are terrible.”

In an earlier filing, Bauer said “the pictures did not reflect what she looked like when she left” his house after the second encounter. In a video in February, Bauer said: “I never assaulted her in any way, at any time.”

Thiagarajah argued that the word “brutalize” need not be taken in the context of a sexual assault and in fact often refers to “terrible beatings where there is no doubt about consent,” citing media references in which the word is used to describe boxing and UFC matches.e

He provided this quote from an ESPN story: “The Gypsy King brutalized him en route to a seventh-round TKO.”

The woman’s allegations triggered a Major League Baseball investigation, in which the league considered similar claims from two other publicly disclosed women. Bauer has denied the claims made by the other women.

MLB suspended him for two years, the longest suspension levied against a player for violating the league’s policy against sexual assault and domestic violence. Bauer is appealing; an arbitrator’s decision whether to sustain, shorten, or overturn the suspension is expected after the World Series.
