    Sounds pretty good right now, and definitely a place to start. But the Braves won 14 division titles in 15 years, so one WS trophy in that span is somewhat disappointing.

    Yeah...I guess it's the old man thing ( not that you are )...but this "elite team " level shit that is now the new prize is such bullshit. And pretending moves teams that are multiple winners have made to get multiple titles is not real and are inferior moves, in light of historic success/results, is senseless. Lol.
    If you win a WS, then labelling the moves anything else other than the right ones, seems like schoolyard sour grapes, imo.
    I'd sure settle for a championship...one..to start as BM wrote. Yup.
    We can do this...so improbable...Vinny's last year...CK out 2 months...injuries...
    shit YEAH we can...

    No, we are not. The division titles we have won thus far are with a patch work team, nothing near what the Braves had all those years. The next 5 years will tell the tale, imo. The farm talent maturing and the older players fading into the sunset should put this team on top in the very near future. IMO, the Cubs will be the biggest rival going forward, especially if they can develope a young pitching staff. But with the current state of the farm system we should surpass the Braves benchmark easily. I think it's possible for maybe 4 WS in the next ten years.

    The braves while backed by Turner still did not have the year to year cash reserves that the Dodgers have.
    Its the same model we are using but the difference is that the Atlanta model was a skinny waif and ours has a boob job and thick ass.

    Yeah BZ some times it feels like when the cards are all nice and stacked pretty we're simply waiting for the axe to fall

    whereas sometimes the little injured team that could is exactly what takes the cake
    so in that regard losing CK for two months in what what was certain to be another Cy Young season
    only helps our "overcome that shit" juju grow more powerful.
    Like going from 8 games back to 4 in front while CK's healing.. just more juju on the fire
    So 2016 or bust
    cuz #fuck2017.. I'll cross that bridge when it gets here
