some reach there. Ryu's better, more healthy, more proven and more affordable than Tanaka. and a lefty. Ryu's value is farther than the eye can see.

Cain i care nothing about..that's just the lack of respect i have for the Yankees' broken down/over the hill starters. he'll probably return next year and perform better than all of NYY's current starting arms.

you're a year late with your proposal. Colletti may have taken you up on your offer. Lol

you should be on bended knee right now praying the Yankees go out and buy both Scherzer and Lester..otherwise, bundle up for a long winter.

Tanaka had better numbers and only 20 innings less than Ryu.......and bargain? you forgot McCourt sold the team
you brought up cain, so WTF? Besides, except for CC, our rotation is rather young. Kuroda retired.
Colleti is still there and whispering in the ear of the decision makers. If the Gugs aren't smart enough to fire him, they may be dumb enough to still listen to him
Nah, just gotta get the guys back healthy, I'll ride it out

Tanaka hasn't made it through 1 season..just missed 10+ starts. Ryu had 30 starts last year and 26 this year..both better than the 20 starts that Tanaka gave the Yankees this year with his partially torn UCL arm hanging off. good luck with that whole UCL situation.

and Ryu's had multiple good showings in the playoffs to boot..easily more value than Tanaka.

it's come to this for Yankee fans..hoping that Colletti is whispering " trade Kershaw for Betances " in Friedman's ear. Lmao

i guess 3rd place will do that to ya..or was it 2nd? i forget..they lost the division by 10+ games..that's all i remember.

Kershaw or Bumgarner, can't go wrong with either one, but I'll go with the guy that has been better than Bumgarner every season. Kershaw sucks in the playoffs, yada, yada, haven't heard that one before. Same shit people say about Peyton Manning in the NFL all of the time....great regular season QB, but he's a choker in the playoffs and his brother Eli is more clutch. I'm sure we'd all take Eli over Peyton. Maybe not the best comparison, but Kershaw pretty much carried us into the playoffs by himself....we were merely a average 500 team without him. Can't worry about postseason performances if you can't even get there, and getting there in baseball is a pretty big deal since it's so wide open for anyone to take as proven by the unpredictable playoff results year after year.

I was Clayton's biggest critic in the playoffs too, but have to imagine things play out differently if we had any reliable arm at all available in pen for his 7th inning meltdowns...inning 1-6, he was sharp. Goes back to Colletti being a shitty GM...oh well.

Just sick and tired of talking about this. Game 4 wasn't even his fault lol. Score 2 runs off Shelby Miller. What do you fucking expect?

And all of Clayton's playoff problems have been vs the same team. Can we please avoid the fucking Cards? Sports are full of weird matchup problems for even the best players. Peyton can't win at NE, Brady can't beat NYG, Kershaw can't beat St. Louis, Federer can't beat Nadal, and LeBron keeps losing his hairline

I wouldn't take Eli over Peyton.

Peyton gives you way more chances to make the playoffs over Eli.

Sarcasm. Eli has been better in the playoffs than Peyton, but that doesn't change who is better and more equipped to lead a team to success. Kershaw has outperformed Bumgarner every year, but because of Bumgarner's postseason performance this year he is suddenly better than a 3x Cy Young winner. Just kind of showing how flawed that argument can be with the Peyton/Eli comparison.

The Yankees shouldn't be jealous of our 1 playoff win, but we are sure in a hell of a lot better position as a franchise right now and I'm willing to bet they'd gladly trade places with us.

Us saying this is going to piss off the baseball gods and the Yankees will win #28 next year.

Do not anger the baseball gods. They are fickle bastards/

I thought the same thing after '08. And '09. and 2010. Oh, 2012, too. Then there was last year.

    Then came this year.
