He's blaming that short rest start on CK's crappy outing in game 6. Sometimes people act crazy on here, even the good guys. He sure looked fantastic in game 2, must've been a delayed fatigue.
And as I said, then Grizz ,and then you...it wasn't Don's decision alone. I'd bet million bucks it was up to Honeycutt and Kershaw more than anything.

We baby players too much nowadays. Kershaw pitching on one less day of rest than normal once in his life isn't going to kill him. Also, he looked pretty damn good in game 2. Let's just accept the fact that Kershaw got hit hard for once and give some credit to the other team.

Pedro was referring to his 48 pitch inning in game 6 IIRC.
And FUCK Leyland and LaRussa...get outta here!

If it was so important for him to collect the vesting option, then why is he about to throw it away? He wants a longterm contract.

you couldn't get people to understand that if you tried right after the game. most people here wanted him to push Kersh out there for some more...even though people clearly saw Kersh bouncing fastballs

Because they left his feet on the fire all year to twist and now he guaranteed himself a 1.4MM severance package at someone else's expense. Money and resentment coming into play with DBB. He'll still get a longer term deal somewhere at some point.

Take off your beer goggles, this is real money.

Well, again...it's common knowledge it wasn't his decision to make. I was probably the only one leaning towards "against it" other than Irish who was dead set against it.
IMO, your accusations are way off....bottom line, Don and everyone related to the team wanted to win that series with or without that vesting option.
You act as though if it wasn't there he'd not give a fuck....
    PUHLEEEEEESE!!!!

You're delusional if you're actually comparing a web forum discussion with a decision that (in large part) led to a 1.4 MILLION dollar severance payday for a guy who has finally voiced his displeasure.

IDK, I'm torn on this. I absolutely hate Donnie's in-game management but is there a known commodity out there that is an upgrade, I don't think so.

If we do decide to go a different direction then I'd like to get somebody who hasn't managed yet and isn't currently on our staff.

Comparing? Pointing out it was a widely accepted usage(even among us) and nothing out of the ordinary is not a comparison.

Delusional describes your ridiculous accusations that Don made the decision to use CK on 3 days rest so he could get a vesting option. That's conspiracy shit right there. Did Bush cause 9/11 too? Don't worry, someone out there will believe this horseshit I guess.
    And again...The FACTS:
    1)Not Don's decision to make.
2)No proof it had any ill effects.
3)Don and everyone in the organization wanted to win because that's what it's all about...not Don's itty bitty 1 year vesting option.

You hate him, I get that...but quit being ridiculous and carrying on this stupid argument and re read the facts I posted above one more time...especially the 1st one which again, is common knowledge.

    I don't like Don.
I think he's the most first-guessed (not second guessed) manager of all time and he doesn't learn from his mistakes. He's very stubborn.

NOt saying fire him but if he wants 3 more years he should earn it. Grow as a manager. I think he's a very stubborn, stagnant, poor manager (on the field).

Don't confuse my sentiments as blaming him for not winning the WS. That would be delusional of me. It was the players. But it doesn't excuse his bad managing.

I don't give him an extension right now. If he walks, bye bye. Not a huge loss.

This is difficult. Honestly, I wouldn't give him the extension. The problem lies in him leaving if he doesn't get one, and there are no other options out there besides what we heave with Wallach and maybe Hillman, but I feel the organization would go after someone from the outside. And with Baker's name being tossed around, well, that frightens me.

No way Kasten hires Baker. It honestly isn't even worth fearing. We aren't that retarded these days.

I am offended that Donny is offended that he has to prove himself. If he is unhappy with that, leave.
