    Stumbled across this one this morning. Was there in person. A bit of culture shock for a young Central Valley boy. As Arlo Guthrie said in Woodstock........."a lot of freaks."

    Fuckers were about a hour late. Apparently there was a pissing contest regarding who would sit where on their flight to SF that day. Zep's manager, Peter Grant, was a renowned prick.

    They waited so long to do a second encore (The Ocean) that half the crowd had left. It was worth the wait.

    was reading some of the comments on youtube and saw that the (then unknown) tubes opened for them
    an odd pairing, but what a great show!

    Tubes were second on the stage after Slim Harpo. Lee Michaels played right before Zeppelin. Interesting bill for sure.

    was always a reason i missed Zep too but i watched Song remains the same a million times does that count?
    saw the Tubes a couple of times in Agoura in the last decade or so at the Canyon
    still put on a great show and the first time i saw them i had smoked so much that by the time mondo bondage came on i was laughing so hard i could barely stand up
    and there were still "a lot of freaks" all around that stage but man was the band solid

    The Tubes are underrated. Fee Waybill came out on stage once in drag and looked almost as hot as @irish ....

    not sure if he still does but 10 years ago he was still changing for almost every song
    quite a a stage show especially in a small venue
    band are hardcore musicians and it looks like they're on tour again this year!

    I've never purchased anything online remotely Mothers or Zappa.

    of all the horrors i've witnessed the last few years of Diamond Dave this one caught me off guard
    pretty good song tbh and his voice sounds good in the low range
    didn't know he still had something like this in him
