As an undergrad at Cal State Fullerton in the mid-80s, I saw Social D play on the quad there in the open air, and it was great. Ten years later, I saw Mike Ness play this song acoustically in a room slightly bigger than my garage called the Doll Hut in Anaheim. That was exceptional.

But this song is still powerful. Whenever you hear it.

bunch of drunks lol this was before i had noticed them but love that version of a forest
simon is probably one of the most underrated and least talked about bassists but anyone that's seen him play knows
kind of reminds me of the first time i saw guys like phil lesh or geezer butler play i was just caught by surprise how much they meant to the sound
lol was as just a basic drummer hanging hard to stay in the mix w smith's psychedelic spin over the top
once robert knew he needed better musicians lol became a prop on stage for like 5 years and simon left for a short time
but you can hear such a huge difference in the body of the sound a few years later
this was when i think i first noticed the cure

smith's voice sounds great in the 1980 version
but he developed it much better for the band/music by the mid 80's imo

just saw a commercial for one of the "music" awards shows and its pure trash
always wondered if i'd get too old to understand the next big things
never imagined they'd just stop making actual music and lean on cliches and voice tuning
once the music industry lost its ability to print money the talent left the building w a few exceptions
is the new billie elish whisper song out yet?
that retarded insipid style has literally enveloped every piece of music and advertising i hear
they're so desperate for something new they actually think she's got talent
not to mention it appears actually playing an instrument has become passe
as Bowie said in fall dog bombs the moon
    These blackest of years
    That have no sound
    No shape, no depth
    No underground
    What a dog

    Morality question.

If a third of your populations children will be born with a disability.
You can detect it in the womb but only in the last trimester.
It can be one of 3 issues.
    1. Downs syndrome.
    2. Severe physical handicap
    3. One of the broad spectrum of psychological and spiritual so called personality disorders.

The ones commonly used by government head shrinkers, salaried judas priests, and other predators to mark and chart and track victims for the paying consumer who after sinning real real real bad have a sudden need to give the cult a lot of money for ever and and ever and ever while becoming their staunchest defenders and flag waivers.

The multicultural law says all non normal children not fit for society must be dealt with according to one of the 3 approved cultural methods.
    1. Abortion.
    2. At birth child grabbed by the ankles and then swung upon on a rock for as to smash their skulls.
    3. Saved for the 8th day of its life as a dedication to be sacrificed as a disposable scapegoat to X god of Y whose rage may be appeased and whose grace may remit the blood guild owed by the parents and population at large foe their evil deeds that month.

You won't find a better class of patriots than predators. They make the best slave masters, jailers, and executioners too.
They spiritually need people in their lives they can feel superior too knowing how low they themselves are. Thats why they love those positions of clout.
And why when given the choice they jump at the chance of being part of something big.
And feel great being soul takers.

Problem is that they forget about the pole.
And the winged bird at the top of the pole.
And the people who carry the pole and string up the flag everyday and put it away in case it gets tarnished.
Those guys always come to do their job.
The flag has to be right.
Or else the flag won't go up the pole.
But the pole will go up the guys wearing the flag as casual ware.

Well guys which option would pick?
    Option 1, 2, or 3?

    Or opfor?

    Remember everyone is watching.
Including the other two third of the kids you don't decide to kill.
And then grow up and find out the sausage is not made how the school said if was and the people telling you hiw its made are sick fucks too with a meat cleaver to grind. And get mad and start to hate their fathers and want to believe in every government program or mandate or disease and its premade cure designed to kill off as many of their social security and pension cashing stock and property holding evil old people as possible this turn round the wheel.

Then also some of the kids who were aborted or smashed on the rocks or burned and eaten as transubstantiated flesh to an idol representing the cannibal instinct in its followers who want to eat babies during a time of crisis but have evolved a cultic practice to hide their shame in under a veil of protection that is only respected by other predators who want their own evil cults shielded from the public eye. The star of their God.
Image worship in all its forms.
    Specially self image.
Some of those kids survive all that and are left to die exposed in the wilderness.
The wilderness is their reward for escaping and surviving.
But eventually they make it back.
    And oh boy!

Sure we aren't in the bronze age we did that one already. We post all that boomer and greatest generation of mighty heroes.
The golden and silver ages are long past and not even worth a mention except by professors and their old college roommates.
The ages of man are replayed every four generations.
And we in the mix generation of amalgamation of metals and all other known elements into one nation of nations. This is the end of the kings highway west and there's nothing left to go but right back to the east and back for smores.

Before you pick remember how you gonna die.
If you gonna play hide and seek with that bull.
Or you gonna play chicken with it.
    And see who flinches first.

Hypotheticals like this are why birth control should be retroactive. Start with people who pose horseshit scenarios this vapid.

The only abortion on this board exists in your twisted sense of logic.

Not at all, but I like it.
This is just how rock music is reborn imo.
    In a garage.
    By little buggers.

Then from there this type of sound is refined into something you wouldn't hate at first listen.

There's not much rock music around that's new. I been away and there's nothing left.
It looks like it's about to die.
Other than corporate rock or aging metal. Young energy cant be conveyed through strained and out of breath vocals.
There's that guy you like and he's really good but he's a rarity.
You know what i mean though.
Rock music is a scene for kids to go hop and run into each other in order to get better aquatinted.
We might need this social dynamic back.
When the adults become narcissist children the kids learn how to be alright.
