hearing the new music live made me jump on a plane to Spain in 22 just to see them
then i saw them at the Hollywood bowl the night we buried mom
89 was the greatest show i ever saw and his voice...
never seen a band make music this good into their 60s

Aside from 7 Bowie concerts over the years, my gf, whose son was a buyer and promoter for Tower Records and got tickets for everything, said Kiss, who she just tagged along to see, was absolutely amazing in concert and the best ever.

Indeed, my brother. There is no accounting for one's taste.
But I do believe it was a visual experience, as you said.
Who knows wtf they are saying/ singing ?

I grew up with people who spoke in the style of this generation.
They dressed pretty good, and their music was great.
Too bad they are all dead now.
At least Chavez Ravine is the seat to the new western Dodgers empire.

    love that!
no drinking and pulling that off, at least not at the level of those dancers
i've danced in dive bars all over Mexico and further south but never seen anything like that
actually i guess you wouldn't really call it dancing since Latinos have like a million different specific styles
tried to learn here and there but never wanted to work that hard but wow how much fun is that?

    funny thing
i absolutely loathed the bee gees during their late 70’s run
literally despised every song and never listened to them
so why now do i not only like their music, i somehow know all the lyrics?
wow closet homo bee gees fanboy

i remember the first time with a white person and they ask me about dance steps and i looked at him all confused
we just start moving and the dancing happens
there are no steps but the steps that just happen from the beats of the music or the beats of the person
i think its like with children
the older you are the more self conscious you are
some cultures are older than others
and some cultures act or think or feel older than others
just like some cultures are more responsible than others
the more childlike the culture = the more natural their reactions to sound = spontaneous joy = dance party!
old dogs/new tricks type of situation
new dogs create their own new tricks
its all about having that new dog spirit

We need to be honest, as straight manly men, Bro ...

Just cuz we blew a few guys years ago for extra money doesn't make us gay.

    Or even yesterday.

    Just saying.

PS - The Bee Gees are superb. As is Manilow ... and Bette Midler.

I will get up and dance to anything anywhere and move w a beat although its been a minute not counting a brief saunter across Olvera st otw to the bar
but my girl in CR always insisted on teaching me all the different forms and I kept saying she was taking all the fun out of it
I'd get live bands applauding and laughing from the stage but knew I was way off the technique of a specific style cause she'd tell me
never stopped me from what I was doing...or maybe that was the rum

My mother would watch him all the time...and his brother George. Played the violin, I think.
She asked my father ( who only knew what she meant because he met her in England during WWII ), "do you think he's a ginger"? To which my father replied, " does a wild man shit in the woods"?
My introduction to Cockney rhyming slang and just one version of the " is the Pope catholic" responses.

    * Ginger beer = queer...drop the rhyming words and use the descriptive or first word.
