Now ... I'm going to defend Johnny Cash here... he's got 30 songs that kick fuckin ass ... songs that guys like Trent Reznor, Kurt Cobain, Tom Petty, & Bob Dylan. So yeah.... this is cornball AF but I dare you hate this song. ...

Holy shit, that "song" is fucking awful. Did your brother actually like that or was he just missing you off?

Here's a country song with a message you might be able to get behind

looking back I think it was a little of both but yeah isn't that song the fucking worst?!
in the 70s there was a lot of cheesy country songs but of course Cash is legend
but there were songs I heard that I still revere to this day...just not a lot lol

the guitarist is the brother of my near future son in law
saw them play together in a Sherman oaks backyard
I'm biased but they were cranking Allman brothers covers and I had no idea
met candy clark from man who fell to earth and a guy who worked w Steely dan
thought I was just going to hang w his family...I should sponsor another party
maybe 40 people and everyone talented except me!
watching this I think it was filmed that night

the first song was pretty good, very 60s vibe to the background loop, reminds me a bit of those british spy shows like the avengers
the other songs had similar breathy low fi melodies with some janky beats to keep it feeling interesting in the background for those who might get a little lost in the airy flow
the lyrics are interesting enough to want to hear the songs again to pick up what was harder to hear

here is no doubt that stars fallen from the sky and giants rising from the earth produce mighty nephilim full of both inherited talent and entitled to fame and renown
when your father is a son of god and your mother a daughter of cain you are bound to be twice as lucky and doubly blessed

one of the problems with idols is that they blind us to things like spiritual successors and if possible even to the heir apparent himself
    are you familiar with cake?
    here is a fresh slice...

Yeah I like cake and spoon
Clever bands w great hooks and fresh thoughtful lyrics
Seems to me the children of stars are far more inclined to become addicts or freaks like will smiths kids
I'll definitely listen to lexi's music again
First time i left it on and heard all 46 minutes white online
Might not be memorable just yet but sure has promise

My introduction to the great Warren Zevon was this live LP. It was playing at a local record store (remember those?). I was hooked.
