Been listening to Queen lately ... very easy to forget how these guys were once considered heavy metal.... the Sheer Heart Attack album really rocks.
Freddie was obviously one of the greatest frontmen ever, but Brian May is rarely mentioned among the best leads.
maybe he just got overshadowd but he had incredible tone and a very unique style i kind of liken him to the Edge of U2 in that sense because he doesn't really play a lead style too much but creates soundscapes
billy to this day is immensely underrated and under appreciated 5th beatle/demigod status wasn’t handed out easily
to be listened to LOUD the man is an absolute legend and we can post 50 absolutely great songs of his as testament
i saw this tour in Long beach Metallica were just coming into their own and i had never heard of them both bands were great and Ozzy had Jake E Lee playing lead would guess fully half of the people there don't remember a thing never seen so many people ripped out of their gourds passing out everywhere
What a great way to go, right after the retirement tribute. Like always his timing was perfect. Best frontman in the history of rocknroll. I remember being in SB county jail right behind the Glen Helen Amphitheater at the first Ozzfest. But i got to listen to Ozzy Osbourne live for the first time. Perfect timing.
you know how much ive heard about this thing all of my life most of my 'peers' were people around a decade or more older than me the US festival is this mythical thing they always said was the woodstock of the west and that van halen was the best thing going but i was like... you got to see Ozzy at his cheeseburger and cocaine peak! never been a better master of ceremonies than OZZY!
four hard working boys from Birmingham that changed the face of music. can it really be 55 years old?
i've had a good life and met some amazing people i think meeting Maurice was the highlight he wasn't well and after 30 minutes of putting the job together i disclosed what an honor ti was to meet him he said the honor is mine...
biased cause i'm a big black keys guy but the arcs were incredible and richard swift is the great musician never known all his lyrics
