same guess i’m going to have to find a way to hijack it… i mean, pay for it ^ just kidding fbi https://youtube.com/shorts/
someone else probably already mentioned it but i just watched the miniseries Godless and found it well done minimal virtue signals and a nice story line even if it got a bit silly in the end
I made a new thread about a new topic. You guys love to watch old movies and tv shows like the Sopranos. If you wanna talk about that stuff or share movies you found on youtube or clips of shows you like this the thread to do it. I mean if you want. Theres still the Off Topic thread. But then theres also this. We started with Deadpool and Wolverine which was promptly taken down. Whats next?
dangit it got taken down faster than the other ones probably cuz i posted it awakened the algorithm it was probably some rat fink that snitched to the youtube police i really enjoyed it for a whole ass variety of reasons the quality of the movie not being at the top of the list though it was more of the documentary nature of it i wonder if diablo remembers my old comment about hating how i used to think my ceiling was as a used car salesman and i loathed that job because of all the ways i had to lie and bullshit people and how good and natural it can come when you have a mouth and the more you talk the more you fuck up and the more you lie inescapable, unless you train it away everyone whose job it is to talk to people all the time will become a finely skilled liar and politician specially if you are selling a thing or a service or yourself basically the story goes that once your done fighting and fucking and doing what you wanna do you have to do what you can do, what you good at but dont want to do for whatever reason for deadpool and for me thats used car salesman but this isnt about me or politics this about the free movie night but its no longer there so... MOVIE THREAD!
I like this movie a lot. I heard that no actors were hurt in this scene. Not that the blows didnt hurt. But these are the good kind of actors. And their fight was highly choreographed. A testament to their skill. I just not sure who the audience is supposed to identify with more, the frank guy or the nada guy. Maybe @F!nski could elaborate in one of his shows. Would like to have your take on that kind of give and take.
John Carpenter wrote this movie as an address against Reagan's America. He saw the threat as the religious right and the moral majority of that era. Funny how quiet he is now that his side of the aisle has become the aliens, and we need sunglasses to see how they control media ...
giants always shed their scales in attempts to survive their extinction event they then become little vipers needing to grow up into terrible lizards again there where giants on the earth in those days before the flood then they were giants on the earth again after dont you think we might be coming up on those times and you know what jesus said about the times of noah but people didnt understand him then i wonder if people are getting it today?
How about movies that if you're surfing and if you come across them, you say " I'll just watch it for 5 minutes"- (no matter how many times you've seen it, mind you), but you can't turn it off until it's done... I'll start with it off : • The Godfather • Nevada Smith • Any Brando movie There are so many, but I'd be interested in reading those from others.
Godfather 1 & 2 are like that for me as well. I'd add Shawshank, French Connection, No Country for Old Men, and Patton. Those always keep me watching. Also re-watched Full Metaljacket ... but only until Gunny gets capped.
Jaws has to be watched, as does Goodfellas. I also can't get enough of The Devil Wears Prada and Michael Clayton.
Forgot some of my all time favorites...King Kong ( original; can recite the dialogue) and Glory. Glory is the only film where I could not control my sobbing at it's conclusion . To this day, after a career full of awards and respect in the industry, I still think it's Denzel's best. Morgan Freeman wasn't chopped liver, either and Dr. Zhivago, my generation's Gone With the Wind.
