@Howard_Cole Alex Call: .270/.383/.350, $1.6 million. K. Tucker: .234/.333/.374, $240 million. #Dodgers
and just like that … @SleeperDodgers You’re not going to believe this… Kyle Tucker is now just .011 points behind Andy Pages in batting average. Tucker: .252 Pages: .263
and just like that 2.0 … @InfiniteDodger It is astonishing how Kyle Tucker just forgot how to be a good baseball player after being a 144 OPS+ guy averaging over 5 WAR per season for the 5 years before his massive $240M contract. Really thought he was going to put the Anthony Rendon comparisons to bed easily this year.
Wow. For me, this says way more about Pages than it does about Tucker. I know a big, inflated and ridiculous contract is no guarantee for raking as a player, but this guy Tucker is like watching paint dry. And looks so very, uh..."dorky" whilst he coats a game his usually beige tone. See: Pages, atm. And Mookie. And Teo Hernandez. I can only assume these players, with cummulative salaries near the GDP of a small country, will all arise Phoenix-like during the post season trials. Y'know...for the glorious Threepeat !
Crazy, ain't it? He makes more each game than the vast majority rooting for him make in a year, yet he can't at least act like he cares.
its the American way! also known as fuck you money the dont have the Dollar pegged to shit but i guarantee they got everything else pegged! just a confidence game for those of little faith specially when the money isnt even Rupees or Rubles but worth less than the Fiat people still making payments on when your Olive Oyls start flowing Castrols through their Plastrons and the Dirty Vegas flow make your Dashboards Confessionals go pew pew pew then wet headlights gonna need a sporty bra like clear eyes when you looking down the sights and my wankel outperforms your four strokes!!!! its Jiminy Christmas and the toys are out the bag so why play your X-Box when you can Gyromite! uh-oh here i go a rippin and rappin like a fool again my bad guys, back to that Tucker fucker guy
This just really sucks because in hindsight they could've cobbled together a season with Call/Ward/Suwinski/Edman/Kike with similar production, have 2 more top five round draftees, and by next year permanently fill RF with De Paula, Sirota, Hope or Ehrhard. Instead, we're stuck with this albatross for another 3 seasons. Bad, bad, bad, bad signing.
@TheAstrosLocker From Tom Verducci: Including the luxury tax penalty, the Dodgers are paying $119.7 million this season for Kyle Tucker’s services, more than the Opening Day payrolls of 11 teams. He has accumulated less than 1 WAR amidst the worst season of his career offensively and defensively.
have to give the team credit. they don't often fuck up these things but man when they do they really do don't they?
In other words, you gave him the benefit of the doubt because he's white. Don't remember that kind of grace from you with Andruw Jones or any other minorities. But, hey, you do you. I'll just block you.
