Nothing about his game says Fernando.
    Other than his heritage.

So because the media lies you believe?
    And repeat?

Fernando never threw nearly as hard as Urias. He painted corners with off speed stuff.

Hmmm, I thought it was obvious I was talking shit about Urias and how the media project him, lol not agreeing

"That does not make him Fernando". That is pretty telling rube.

What's worse...those who do not understand posts, or those who make posts that no one understands?

    Im guilty of both.

I took his post to mean that he had originally believed urias to be the next fernando due to buying into the hype but now that urias has played 3 games his opinion has changed into urias being a soft middling starter like billingsley.

Imo it could read like that due to a lack of context.

I was just kidding. We are all guilty of both from time to time.
Except of course, the ones who won't admit it.

Kid did ok today, looked good. Our lineup continues to be the piece of shit on the field though.

I remember Kershaw's wild years. Would over pitch the early innings showing great stuff and then start to fade by the 5th sometime even the 4th innings where he couldn't throw a strike. And the HR was a problem.

But a few more years of growth, expanding his pitch mastery, adding a slider....and poof.

Then again Kershaw is a freak of nature. Not everyone has his gift to grow into what he is now.

Guys I must say, I like Urias as a starter. Give him time.

    Thanks for saying so.

The way I see it is Urias is our #4 until or unless one of these other broken wings mend and show themselves to be better which is not happening at any marked rate.

    Kershaw
    Kazmir
    Kenta
    Urias
    Ballsackinger
    Wood
    cliff...

When Ryu returns he can start at #5 and work his way forward. Until then Urias owns the #4 SP position with the way his pitching keeps improving
