    had so much fun at the parade last year i am still thinking of going and will depend on how early i wake up
    if i do go i'm going to take the train to Union station and probably uber back
    part of what made it so fun last time is it was dia de los muertos on Olvera st and that is unfortunately over this time
    also a little concerned about the crowds getting unruly and a show down w LE
    will see if i can find a balance of thought and a reason...

    I had a couple thoughts about the Pages series-saving catch.

    First, I do believe Kike would have caught it. He seemed to have it lined up pretty well. But it was going to be an over-the-shoulder basket catch, and there's always a degree of uncertainty with that. He could have just as easily had it bounce off the heel of his glove. Definitely not a sure out.

    Pages covered some amazing ground and had it lined up all the way. He definitely was positioned better to make the catch, and I'm glad that running into Kike didn't interfere to the extent that he missed.

    But really, the reason why the collision didn't impact the play was because Kike was in a subordinate position, if you will, due to setting up for the basket catch. If it had worked out that Kike was facing the ball, he'd have been more upright, and that collision would have been much more likely to dislodge the ball from Pages.

    I don't know if any of this is true... just an example of the random things that go through my head when I can't sleep at night.
